I think it's because it's a perfume bar, but the fragrance is rich and wonderful - I'm really satisfied! When I lather it up and massage it into my scalp, my scalp feels refreshed and I've actually cut down on my shampooing time. After using it, my scalp feels clean and organized for a long time, and my hair stays less oily and feels fresh throughout the day. ✔️ Application Even though it's a solid soap-style shampoo, when I wet my hands and rub it, the lather builds up beautifully right away. The bubbles spread gently so I can massage every corner of my scalp, which feels really nice. ✔️ Cleansing Power When I rinse, it washes away completely without any residue and my scalp stays feeling clean. My hair does feel a bit dry from the strong cleansing, but the satisfaction of having a refreshed scalp is so great that I don't mind it much. ✔️ Results With continued use, I notice my scalp's oil production is becoming more balanced. I don't see dramatic hair loss reduction right away, but my scalp feels healthier and I'm noticing more volume in my hair. The cleansing power is so strong that my hair feels a bit stiff. Because of this, I really need to use a conditioner or hair oil alongside it to finish with soft hair. I'm a bit concerned because shea butter doesn't always work well with my skin. So far so good though, so I'll keep using it regularly. Your hair might feel stiff after use, so make sure to follow up with a conditioner or hair oil. I've tried different shampoo bars at Tone28, and the baobab shampoo bar seems to have the best balance. The black bean soap felt too tight and uncomfortable to use, and the kelp soap left my hair feeling slightly sticky even after drying, like it wasn't fully rinsed. Since my scalp gets oily by evening, I prefer a shampoo that cleanses thoroughly and leaves me feeling fresh. The baobab shampoo bar does exactly that - it cleanses beautifully without that tight, stripped feeling. Plus, the lather is absolutely incredible. The only downside is that there really isn't one. The texture feels great and the scent is lovely. It's natural that any soap will eventually produce less lather the more you use it - that's just how soap works. When that happens, you can simply combine it with a fresh new bar and keep using it. Problem solved!

The fragrance is really strong and lovely. It completely eliminates that scalp odor issue. I've been using the full-size version and loved it so much that I ended up buying several mini travel sizes. I was really happy with it at first, but when I started alternating it with my anti-hair loss shampoo, I noticed a couple of irritated spots developing on my scalp. I was using the Tone28 shampoo bar before, but I felt it was missing fragrance, which was disappointing. This product has everything, including a wonderful scent, so I'm really satisfied! The cleansing power is excellent too—even though my scalp tends to be oily, this shampoo cleans just as effectively as a regular liquid cleanser. While it's not a soap that dissolves super quickly, if you want to keep it in your bathroom, it will soften over time. That's why I store mine in a soap net and hang it up to use. The only downside is the price. Sales do happen on the main website, though. I'd still recommend this to everyone! Two-Month Review I switched back to liquid shampoo after just two months of using the shampoo bar. I loved the strong cleansing power and how refreshed my hair felt, so I kept using the shampoo bar. However, the intense cleansing stripped my hair, leaving it dry and rough. Since I have long hair that I'll be wearing for at least the next four years, and hair is made of dead cells that won't recover once damaged, I've decided it's best to stop using this product. That said, it seems worth using once a week or less as a deep cleanse treatment. ---------------------------------------------------- Rich, abundant lather. I'd tried Lush shampoo bars before and never thought I'd actually wash my hair with a bar, but after using this one, the lather is luxurious and my hair feels incredibly soft and clean. You can tell this isn't a hastily made product. Cleansing Power Liquid shampoos also need to create lather, but with this bar, the soap rinses away incredibly quickly and doesn't leave residue on my scalp. It's actually less hassle than liquid shampoo. My hair feels noticeably lighter overall. I originally planned to alternate between this bar and liquid shampoo every other day, but I've ended up using just the bar. Scent It's similar to the old Milk Baobab treatment I used before. Back then, the scent made me feel a bit queasy, but Tone28's shampoo bar has a gentle, soapy fragrance that feels different somehow. I realized this is the baobab oil scent, and it blends beautifully even with regular treatments I use. I've already repurchased it! Good scalp cleansing, but the more I use it, the drier my hair becomes. I'm experiencing static electricity that I never felt with liquid shampoo. But my regular products can't seem to handle the intense cleansing power of this bar. After just two days of use, the soap started cracking. The lather is incredibly rich and luxurious. The cleansing power is excellent, and honestly, every aspect of this product performs beautifully. It does feel quite stiff, which actually gives the impression that less hair is falling out. Some people say it leaves hair smooth... but I have to be honest, the shine factor is basically zero for me. That said, when I use it together with the no-wash treatment, it works wonderfully. Just a few rubs and it lathers up beautifully. The cleansing power is really impressive too. Since I have a sensitive scalp, the itching didn't improve at all. Plus, it feels really dry and tight when I rinse it out. It wears down so quickly for the price, which is disappointing.
