I've tried a variety of products from this line including the black bean, kelp, baobab, and grapefruit body bars, plus the houttuynia face soap and the no-wash treatment bar. Since all these products come in solid bar form, they rinse out so much faster than regular liquid shampoos or body washes, and they leave your skin feeling completely clean without any residue. The shampoo bar did a great job of adding volume to my hair, which I really appreciated, but I did notice it felt slightly more drying compared to liquid shampoo. That's why I started using the treatment bar alongside it, and honestly, the difference was noticeable right away. The stiffness disappeared as soon as I applied it, and it felt so much smoother and less slippery, making the whole experience feel lighter and more comfortable. The lather is incredibly rich and creamy, which made the overall experience really satisfying. If you're not used to using bar soaps regularly, you might find these feel really drying. They do have a squeaky-clean effect, so you'll need to pay extra attention to moisturizing afterward. This feels so refreshing and nice. Just a few rubs through my hair and it creates a rich, luxurious lather that I really love My hair does tend to feel a bit stiff afterward, which seems unavoidable with this product. Dry scalp~ I switched from Baobab because of dandruff issues. - It's less moisturizing compared to Baobab, so my hair feels a bit stiff after washing. I do need to use additional hair products, but the dandruff care is definitely better with this one. - It's firmer and has better cleansing power compared to Baobab. - The mint scent comes through nicely, though the cooling sensation isn't super intense! I'm the type who gets cold easily, but I felt like I could use this even in winter, which was actually great. - Since I usually wear fragrance, I also appreciated that it's unscented after rinsing! I don't really have any major complaints. For my oily scalp, this bar produces plenty of lather and cleanses really well. I've tried rubbing it directly onto my hair, but the soap bar has a firm texture and feels unfamiliar, so I prefer to lather it up in my hands first. This is my first time using a shampoo bar, and while I can't say the usability is dramatically better aside from the environmental benefits, the Tone28 brand clearly puts a lot of thought into packaging, which gives me a real sense of satisfaction. The fragrance is quite strong. I tend to get hot easily, so I'm usually drawn to products with cooling ingredients and buy them right away. Compared to the Head & Shoulders I used before or their Cool & Menthol line, this didn't give me that refreshing, cooling sensation I could actually feel on my scalp. I wish I'd bought more of this the first time around. The scent is absolutely amazing, and it lathers beautifully. The cleansing power is fantastic! I've used charcoal-infused products before, but this one leaves my hair so much softer and smoother. I'm really impressed with how much better it performs. Since it's a solid cleanser, you do need to take care of it properly. It depletes quickly, which is a bit disappointing.
