I can't believe this shampoo has such low ratings! I just had to leave a review myself. I've been using Senka body wash for years, and I randomly got curious about Japanese shampoos. That's when I discovered Tsubaki. My hair is naturally thick and strong, even though I'm a woman. Most shampoos leave my hair feeling dry and stiff after washing. I used to just grab whatever smelled nice and had a good amount, but my hair would get so tangled. Even while drying it, the tangles wouldn't come out. It was so frustrating and dry. So I became a shampoo nomad for a while until I got obsessed with Thai Sunsilk. Anyone who's tried Sunsilk knows what I mean—Thai shampoos don't tangle your hair right from the wash. Anyway, I got curious about Japanese shampoos again and tried Tsubaki. It's not quite as good as Sunsilk, but honestly, the scent and texture aren't bad at all. I even picked up another bottle at Olive Young the other day! I keep coming back to Tsubaki. The scent isn't overly luxurious or anything—it's just a regular fruity fragrance—but it's not that different from when I was using Sunsilk, so I switched back to Tsubaki. If you have thick hair like me and your hair gets dry and stiff without conditioner after shampooing, I really recommend trying this. They have a conditioner too, and using both together is amazing. I haven't been using the conditioner though because I'm lazy, but I plan to use it before it expires! I don't really have any complaints. Checked: Fragrance - I keep coming back to this product because it smells absolutely wonderful! Checked: Results - I have dry hair, and I can really feel the difference when I use this shampoo and conditioner together - my hair becomes noticeably softer! Checked: Feel - The lather is great and I'm really happy with how it performs! I picked this up because I heard great things about the scent, and there was a sale going on. The fragrance is definitely lovely! I'm not sure if this is the culprit, but I've been breaking out on my forehead like crazy since using this. I stopped using it two days ago and I'm going to keep monitoring the situation. If my breakouts clear up after stopping, then this product is definitely the problem. I've had bad reactions to the wrong shampoo before that caused major forehead breakouts. No special tips from me, just make sure you really work it into your scalp when you shampoo. Dry scalp, damaged hair Texture The formula has a white, medium consistency and it's incredibly smooth! True to its "Moist" name, it feels really hydrating without any greasy residue, so it doesn't leave hair feeling heavy or sticky—I love that. Lather The lather is wonderfully soft and rich, and one pump is enough to cleanse even long hair thoroughly. Fragrance The scent is almost identical to the Tsubaki hair pack—it's a super sweet bubblegum fragrance! I used perfumed shampoos when they were all the rage, but they made my scalp itchy and irritated, so I was worried about scented products. Fortunately, this one works great for my scalp, and I've been using it happily. Packaging However, the bottle design isn't very appealing to me... The design feels a bit dated, and the bright red color is so bold that it really stands out in the bathroom—that's my only disappointment.
