I usually skip cleansing oils because they don't work for me, but this is finally the one I'm sticking with! Out of everything I've tried, this has the best blackhead-removing power. You do need to massage it in for a while, but once you use it, your pores come so clean that you barely need extra maintenance. Plus, as someone who avoided oils because of that heavy, sticky residue, I'm totally recommending this to anyone who's been hesitant about oil cleansers! Since there's no fragrance added, it has that typical oil smell which is pretty noticeable, so the scent isn't the best. That said, I have sensitive skin, so I'm actually really happy that they skipped the fragrance! The longer and more thoroughly you massage it in, the better the blackheads come out! Cleansing Power: This cleanser removes makeup thoroughly overall. I was especially impressed that it even takes off waterproof mascara effectively. Blackhead Removal: It does a great job tackling blackheads. While one oil alone can't completely eliminate them, the granules work really well during application. Minimal Residue: Unlike some oils that feel heavy and leave a greasy film, this one leaves barely any residue behind. No Oily Smell: Some cleansing oils have that distinctive greasy odor, but this product doesn't have that issue at all. Cleansing Power: It removes makeup, but some residue tends to stick around the sides of the nose. Residue: This cleansing oil really requires a double cleanse routine. If you skip that step... Double Cleanse Method: Follow up with a gentle water-based cleanser. While blackheads don't instantly vanish, the greasy buildup I used to feel has significantly decreased, and I'm genuinely thrilled with the results. It's an oil, but zero stickiness! The emulsification is outstanding The texture feels incredibly fresh and lightweight with no greasy residue whatsoever. The moment water touches it, it emulsifies smoothly and leaves your face completely clean with no leftover film. This is perfect for anyone who found traditional oil cleansers too heavy and suffocating. Ampoule-like hydrating finish The name 'ampoule oil' isn't just marketing—it's the real deal. Even while cleansing, your skin stays hydrated and dewy. You honestly don't need to rush to apply cream right after cleansing. What could be better Blackhead removal requires consistent use Using it once or twice won't make blackheads disappear overnight. This is a gradual improvement type that requires consistent rolling and proper emulsification, so if you're looking for instant results, you might feel disappointed. The pump dispenser can leak with this lightweight formula You need to press gently, but if you press too hard, it can seep between your fingers. The key is to pump slowly and avoid being too generous with the amount. My personal tips Pre-cleanse routine with warm towel and ampoule oil Before washing your face, cover it with a warm towel for just one minute, then massage with the oil. This opens your pores and really helps with sebum release! Make sure to thoroughly roll and emulsify around your nose and jawline. Use as an evening pore-purifying cleanser Try a two-step routine: a gentle foam cleanser in the morning and this product in the evening for intensive pore care. This approach keeps your skin clear and your sebum perfectly balanced without any breakouts.

It's an unscented cleansing oil with a lightweight feel that glides smoothly across your skin. It does a really solid job of dissolving makeup and sunscreen. It might struggle a bit with waterproof makeup, though it does break down some of it. Once the oil emulsifies, it rinses away cleanly without any sticky residue, and I've rarely experienced any stinging in my eyes. Your skin won't feel tight or uncomfortable after cleansing either. It's not the best choice when you're dealing with stubborn makeup. This doesn't do much to help with blackheads, whiteheads, or sebaceous filaments. It doesn't seem to work well with my skin type, so I've been struggling with closed comedones that just won't disappear. I use a cleansing oil daily to tackle blackheads, and I've tried several products that are supposedly famous for treating them. I've finally settled on Green Tomato Oil, and here's why I'm so happy with it. 1. Blackhead removal is truly outstanding. I tend to massage for quite a while—usually over 5 minutes without applying pressure—since my nose and the surrounding skin are naturally resilient and prone to blackheads. When I use this oil for the same amount of time as other products, the blackheads come out noticeably better. I can actually see them rolling around in my hand, which is pretty satisfying. 2. The cleansing feel is refreshing. After the emulsification process, even rinsing with just water leaves my skin feeling cleaner than it does with other oils. While it doesn't feel quite as squeaky-clean as using a cleansing foam, it's definitely the most refreshing I've felt after a water rinse among all the oils I've tried. If you're not extremely oily like I am, you might not even need a second cleanse with foam. 3. No eye irritation. Some products irritate my eyes even when I only apply them to my nose and the area between my eyebrows—I've had to keep my eyes closed while using them. But Green Tomato Oil doesn't sting at all, which is wonderful. 4. No greasy smell. Even though I'm not particularly sensitive to scents, most oils have that distinctive oily smell, even if it's subtle. Since I'm applying it to my nose, I notice it even more. Green Tomato Oil has virtually no smell, and I absolutely love that. The only downside is the price. When there's no discount, it costs a bit more than your average cleansing oil, so I tend to wait for sales to purchase it. - When emulsifying or rinsing after using the cleansing oil, always use lukewarm or warm water. Since oil is literally oil, it rinses away much more effectively with lukewarm or warm water than with cold water. - I personally end up massaging for longer periods, which inevitably stresses the skin barrier. Make sure to follow up with soothing ingredients like centella or comfrey, or products that support barrier repair. - When massaging with the oil, really lighten your touch. Think of it as moving the oil across your skin rather than rubbing it in. If there are stubborn areas that won't budge and bother you, designate a soft makeup brush for oil cleansing, dip it in the oil, and gently roll it over that spot. - Using a steam towel or sebum softener before oil cleansing makes it even more effective. I'd recommend setting aside one day a week as your deep pore cleansing day to do this routine.
