I'm leaving this review after about a month of use. I tested it at a Daiso store before buying, and I was really impressed by how bright it looked on me. Shade 1 seemed more like shades 18-19, and shade 2 would be perfect for people who wear 21. It was a bit too light for me though. Here are the pros: 1. Applies thinly (considering it's a balm type) - it applies similarly to Wake Me Up balm. 2. Semi-matte finish - when I consider the balm type, it gives that matte application feel! 3. Great coverage - when I apply it with a spatula brush, the coverage is amazing. Even though my skin tends to show every blemish, this conceals everything beautifully. My skin type - sensitive, extremely oily, shade 23. 1. Doesn't work well with my powder (Canmake Marshmallow ML, About Tone 1.5) - The Canmake Marshmallow Finish Powder ML and About Tone Blur Powder Pact shade 1.5 didn't pair well together. It started separating right around my nose as soon as I applied it. 2. Poor staying power - After that happened, I quickly wiped it off with a cleansing tissue, and it came off completely like I'd used a makeup remover. As time goes on, I also get visible fingerprints. These were personally disappointing aspects for me. 1. Choose a shade one tone darker than your actual shade. 2. Prep your skin well with a good base. 3. Great coverage that really works The formula feels hydrating with just a hint of matte finish. I was impressed by how well it covers - it's honestly comparable to The Saem and Daiso concealers. The pore coverage is fantastic too, and I think that's because of the night-type formula! Such a flattering shade It's not too yellow and looks so natural on the skin! For reference, shade 2 gives me the same color I get when I use a generous amount of my usual shade 21 foundation. Since I love a luminous look, this was absolutely perfect for me. Slight dryness underneath As I mentioned, it does lean a bit matte, so when you add powder on top, you might notice some subtle dryness underneath the surface. Here's a helpful tip: when you're using a matte foundation and try to quickly swipe your sponge across your pores to fill them in, it can leave streaky marks. Instead, just use the clean side of your sponge and gently press and bounce it over those areas - problem solved!

The fragrance isn't overwhelming at all. It came in shade 23, but it's way too light for shade 23 users. You absolutely need to adjust the amount you use, and it emphasizes pores and looks patchy on the skin.

The more you tap it in, the thinner it spreads, and it doesn't look patchy or heavy at all. That said, it does pick up fingerprints pretty easily, which is a bit annoying. Coverage: The coverage is really impressive! For how sheer it applies, I was surprised by how much it actually covers. Shade: I'm using shade 23, and it came out a bit too light for me (why do so many products launch in such light shades these days?) I think shade 22 would be a better match. But honestly, now that I've got it on my face in a thin layer, it looks fresh and actually looks pretty good. Compared to the Dinto foundation that Daiso launched, this one is definitely lighter! (check the photos). The shade itself is really pretty though—it doesn't have that yellow undertone, just a really balanced color. Semi-matte finish: It might feel a bit dry. I'd recommend making sure your base is really well-prepped and hydrated. On my combination skin, there are some areas where it looks a little patchy and dry. Darkening: I heard on YouTube that it can darken after about 7 hours of wear, but I'll need to test this more to see how it holds up.
