I was worried about retinol side effects, so I chose a product with next-generation retinol that has fewer concerns. I was originally using a 2% retinoid plus squalane formula, but it was discontinued, so I switched to this one. It applies as smoothly as an emulsion and doesn't feel greasy. I definitely notice improved skin texture the next day after applying it. Personally, I've also tried 5% retinoid, but I didn't feel a significant difference in results compared to the 2%, so I settled on the more affordable 2% option. Since it's recommended to use it within 3 months of opening, the shorter usage window made me stick with the more budget-friendly 2% version. I'm not sure if it's just my imagination, but the product seems most effective right after opening, and the effectiveness appears to fade over time. The recommended usage window is 3 months after opening, and I especially notice the results drop off once that period passes, so I replace it with a fresh product when I feel the effectiveness declining. Since I can't expose it to sunlight, I only apply it in the evening, which makes it difficult to finish the product within the recommended timeframe. Store in the refrigerator and write down the opening date. It's recommended to use it within the suggested timeframe. I have very dry and extremely sensitive skin. I'm giving this my highest recommendation just because it doesn't irritate my skin at all. As someone with reactive skin, I never thought I could use retinol, but I've been mixing a small amount with my hydrating moisturizer, letting it absorb, and finishing with a regenerating cream. It's working beautifully without any issues. Nothing really to complain about. If you're new to retinol, this is definitely worth trying. Just start with a small amount.

I use this every other day by mixing three drops into my Madeca cream. The difference in my skin texture the next day is really noticeable. I only apply it in the evening, and after toner, I apply a ceramide serum and mix it into my cream before bed. My skin feels so much softer the next morning. Since my skin is sensitive, I'm careful not to overdo it and stick to three drops every other day. I'm using it very comfortably without any irritation or skin issues. There's nothing really to complain about. The only thing is that the dropper picks up quite a bit of product, so you need to be careful about contamination when using it. If you have sensitive skin, definitely mix this with a cream before using it. Try applying a product that supports your skin barrier first, like a ceramide product, and then use a retinol.
