So easy to use and my skin feels incredibly smooth. The formula has a clear, gel-like consistency. I didn't experience any irritation, though I didn't notice any dramatic results either. I can't speak to the brightening, wrinkle-smoothing, or firming benefits, but I really wish the moisturizing effect had been more noticeable. This product absorbs beautifully and feels gentle enough for daily use. I really appreciate that it doesn't leave a sticky residue on my skin. It has a rich, creamy texture, but it feels wonderful to apply all year round. When I use it consistently, I can really see my skin texture improving! I don't have any complaints, but I wish the price was a bit more affordable considering the amount you get.

Some days they work great, other days not so much. 2. If you have a compromised skin barrier, you might find yourself reacting to The Ordinary's Castor Oil. I've noticed that when my barrier is weak, I get irritation, but when my skin is in good shape, it handles it beautifully. 3. The star ingredients are peptides that signal skin to reduce fine lines, plus low-molecular hyaluronic acid for deep hydration. 4. I've gone through about three bottles over a year. Since I have really dry skin but hate anything sticky or heavy-feeling, I actually skipped using it completely from June through early September. But honestly, when I stopped using it, I really felt the difference. 5. Here's the thing about peptide products - I'm never quite sure if they're actually working when I apply them. It's hard to tell if there's real change happening or if I'm just enjoying the hydration boost. I can't always tell how well the next product absorbs either. But what I've learned is that when I stop using a product or switch to something else, I notice a shift. That's when I realize what that product was actually doing for my skin. 6. A few products I consistently reach for are the Hyaluronic Acid Toner from The Ordinary - you really notice when you skip it, and it's such great value for the results. And this Matrixyl serum works best when paired with other active serums or ampoules, like retinol-based treatments. Honestly, skip the salmon oil and try the Matrixyl instead. When used alone, it's basically just a hydrating serum. The Ordinary doesn't really explain how to use their products effectively, which is a real gap. You have to figure out the best way to use their products on your own. For someone like me who loves experimenting with skincare, that's actually fun. I'm on my third repurchase of this product! I've heard it works wonderfully when paired with hyaluronic acid, and I have to say, my skin looks noticeably better since I started using them together. I wish they'd release a larger size option, but honestly, that's my only complaint. I use this right after cleansing and it's amazing for quick hydration. I'm actually using it without a toner or other serums, and I'm really happy with the results. It can feel a bit sticky for heavy use during summer, so I only use it in the evening when the weather gets warm.
