I noticed a calming effect, and even though this product is designed for oily skin and I still get some shine throughout the day, it's definitely noticeably less! The refreshing sensation is great for reducing that heated feeling on my skin. For those with oily skin especially, if you find other moisturizing creams feel too heavy before applying sunscreen, this is perfect as your final step.
