The shampoo is incredibly silky and smooth, almost like a body wash. I was hoping for a refreshed scalp, but it feels a bit slippery and leaves me with a slight residue feeling, as if it didn't rinse out completely. I was worried about potential irritation after washing, but I'm happy to say there were no issues. The conditioning effect is so smooth that I think it would be perfect for anyone with longer hair. My scalp should feel refreshed, but instead it feels slippery, which doesn't give me that clean, invigorated sensation I'm looking for. I find myself worrying about breakouts every time I use this shampoo. This formula has such a watery, flowing consistency that it practically pours out. It looks like it won't lather much, but it actually creates a really nice foam - seriously impressive! The only downside is that it's not thick enough, so it tends to slip right through your hands. The mint scent is quite strong, which I think would be absolutely perfect for anyone who loves that fresh, cooling sensation. I have to disagree with the gentle formula claim. Since I have oily scalp and used this during summer, the freshness only lasts about 16 hours. There's a slick residue left on my hair that requires extra rinsing, which isn't practical during busy mornings. Plus, my hair feels stiff and straw-like afterward. It seems like a limitation of products that focus primarily on dandruff and scalp care. My scalp tends to get hot and I deal with occasional irritation, but this shampoo really seems to calm everything down the best. It leaves my scalp feeling so refreshed and clean! It's hard to find this in stores since it's always sold out at Olive Young. I wish it was easier to get offline.

I decided to test it out myself for a couple of days before giving it to him, and I have to say I'm impressed! You don't need a double shampoo routine with this one, and even a small amount creates an amazing amount of lather. Your hair feels squeaky clean right away, which is exactly what you want. Now I totally understand why it's so effective at controlling oil and buildup. The price point is pretty steep, so I usually wait for sales to stock up. I get that the results are worth it, but I really wish they'd put it on sale more often.
