I've been using this as my winter staple for several years now. Since I'm in my mid-forties, it feels like a perfect match for my skin. That said, when I use it in October, it does feel a bit heavy. But once November rolls around and temperatures drop below 10 degrees Celsius, around 5 degrees or so, I find it works beautifully without feeling heavy or suffocating. My skin feels incredibly hydrated and protected. As you can see in the photos, this cream holds its shape really well. It has this thick, creamy texture—almost like Greek yogurt or whipped butter. It scoops out smoothly and spreads across the skin effortlessly without any tugging or discomfort. With 25% shea butter, there's definitely a sense of my skin being wrapped in a protective layer. Honestly, I can't think of a better cream for winter. If you catch it on sale, the price is even more amazing. As for the lip balm, I feel like I've been using it for over 20 years now. Every single Uriage product I've tried has been nothing but excellent. I'm definitely buying this again next winter. After applying, my skin feels calm and irritation-free. My skin barrier feels strengthened and secure, and the hydration feels locked in. I absolutely love it. However, during extreme cold snaps when temperatures drop below freezing, I do need to add an extra night moisturizer or facial oil. That's when I layer this with Cetaphil Cream as well. Since I'm already using one hydrating product, adding another hydrating product on top just makes sense. I'm not sure what the downsides are. I have quite sensitive skin, and I plan to keep using it. I finish my skincare routine with this cream. I have dry skin and was looking for a richer cream for my nighttime routine since lightweight soothing formulas weren't cutting it. I discovered this product and it's been great! Sure, it feels a bit heavy during summer, but when I apply it thinly, it really locks in moisture and creates a protective oil barrier. I'm loving how it works for me.
