I have dry skin and this cushion surprisingly works perfectly for me! It doesn't oxidize or darken at all!! Everything else about this product is amazing, but when I'm adjusting the amount, the case and refill separate with a click and fall apart a bit, which is frustrating... The coverage is excellent. It has a slightly matte finish that I really love. The adhesion is fantastic too. There's no darkening, and it seems to last all day long. I actually bought it initially because the cushion compact itself is so pretty, but I'm on my several refills now and still going strong. Even though I have oily skin, it works beautifully for me. After using it, I haven't experienced any breakouts or irritation, which is great. I always come back to this cushion foundation no matter what else I try. It does feel a bit heavy during summer, so I switch to powder foundation then, but spring, fall, and winter? This is my go-to. The coverage is solid, it applies beautifully, and while it does break down throughout the day, it fades gracefully. Honestly, I can't think of any real downsides. I keep repurchasing this one every single time. If I had to nitpick, maybe it's that they don't offer discounts very often? Pro tip: spray setting spray on your puff a few times, apply the cushion foundation, then spray setting spray on top again. It lasts so much longer that way. I've tried so many foundations from different brands, but VDL is truly the best base product out there! The lightweight formula adheres beautifully to the skin. The Perfect Fit has a semi-matte finish, but even with my dry skin, it doesn't look patchy or flaky. I'm honestly amazed at how naturally it wears throughout the day. My shade is number 19! Just so you know, shade 17 runs a bit light and shade 21 is darker. Since it does have a semi-matte finish, you'll definitely want to make sure your skincare is well-prepped underneath. At first I thought it was a shade mismatch, but after applying it, the color settles into a more stable tone, which is actually great (shade 19, compared to the brighter shade 21). I really love the cooling sensation it gives. The coverage is solid. Nothing major, but there's a slight heavy or cakey feeling to it. I think it's because there's a lot of powder, and you can feel the powder particles clumping together a bit. It doesn't make the skin texture look incredibly refined. This cushion is absolutely legendary! It's a product where I didn't have to worry about my skin while using it. Personally, the coverage is really solid and the wear time is fantastic. The shade seems to come out a bit darker than expected. I absolutely love this! The coverage is amazing and there's no darkening at all! The wear time is pretty impressive too... When I use it, my face looks so smooth and beautifully corrected that I've been using only this lately! The attached photo shows my skin with a base foundation and just a touch of blush! I'm completely satisfied with it~ I heard the ingredients aren't great and can cause skin troubles. Even though I have sensitive skin, I haven't experienced any breakouts though...? But my friend gets a lot of breakouts from it and switched to a different cushion recently! It seems like it really depends on the person! And there's a bit of a patchy feeling to it...! It's hard to tell in photos, but you can see it when you're out and about. That's a bit disappointing...? Please don't apply too much of it. Since I'm new to makeup, I applied it thickly on the first day and when I looked in the mirror, it looked so patchy. There's no separation or anything like that, but if it doesn't match your skin tone well or if you use too much, it looks cakey. The color is absolutely gorgeous and so flattering! I love how it blends beautifully without looking patchy, and the applicator is incredibly fluffy and applies like a dream. The coverage could use a bit more oomph. The coverage is absolutely amazing. My blemishes fade away beautifully even without using concealer, and I don't experience any pore clogging at all. The shade runs quite a bit too light for me. Since my face is naturally lighter than my body, it creates a really harsh contrast that's hard to ignore. Plus, after a few hours of wear, I notice the foundation settling into fine lines, which is frustrating. While it doesn't completely hide deep acne scars, it does a great job evening out redness and giving cheeks a uniform appearance. My skin is oily, especially in the T-zone, but the staying power and adherence are solid. Even when it does break down, it fades beautifully, so just touching up with powder works perfectly. I picked a shade somewhere between 17 and 21, and the tone looks really good. As I mentioned, it can't cover up significant scars, so relying on this alone to finish your base makeup feels a bit limiting.
