This cushion is a life-saver. Most cushion compacts I see these days come in neutral cases, but this bold red shade immediately catches your eye the moment you open it. It's such a vibrant, bright red that's absolutely perfect for summer. I was a bit surprised by the name "Layerfit Cover Cushion" at first, but it actually makes sense. Usually, full-coverage cushions tend to go on thick, but this one layers beautifully the more you apply it. I was genuinely impressed by how well it layered in practice. In the afternoon when I get a bit sweaty, I just tap a tiny amount on those areas and it covers right back up perfectly. Most cover cushions tend to get drier as the day goes on, so I made sure to do a thorough skincare routine beforehand without making it too heavy, and it held up really well throughout the day. That said, my skin is on the dry side with combination tendencies, so even with a solid skincare base, it still feels a bit dry and I notice fine lines appearing around my nasolabial folds. It does have a tendency to apply a bit thickly, so you really need to be careful with how much product you use. If I apply it too generously, there's a noticeable color difference between my neck and face right away. Still, I appreciate that I can get good coverage with just a small amount. The wear is pretty decent, and once it sets, it doesn't transfer or smudge.
