I'm really happy with this product across the board—the application, absorption, and hydration are all fantastic. I've been using multiple bottles since winter and I'm still going strong. The formula has a watery texture, but it applies with a soft, smooth finish that feels great. My husband has oily skin and I have extremely dry skin, but we're both completely satisfied using it together. No breakouts and it feels refreshing, so as someone with dry skin, I apply it generously multiple times after cleansing. Since the formula isn't thick or sticky, it feels hydrating, but the moisture doesn't last if I don't quickly layer another product on top. Personally, I'm not a fan of heavy or tacky textures, and I find that a lightweight formula actually delivers that deep skin hydration better. So I'll probably stick with this one for a while. If you have dry skin like me, try layering the toner multiple times to really let it absorb, rather than just applying it once. You'll get much better hydration and your skin will feel so much more comfortable.

It's perfect to use as a first step in my skincare routine, and the lightweight formula layers beautifully without feeling heavy or sticky. I have sensitive skin and I'm really impressed that it doesn't cause any irritation at all. I was expecting a tangy fermented scent or grain-like aroma, but honestly, there's none of that. Instead, there's just a subtle cosmetic fragrance that comes through when I apply it. It's strange because the ingredient list doesn't show any of those scent components. I've only tried the sample size so far, not the full-size product, so I'm hesitant about committing to the larger version without testing it more. When I use an ultrasonic device, I keep misting this first essence instead of using aloe gel, and it works wonderfully. This fermented skincare product works wonderfully for my skin without any irritation. It feels like it's really delivering that hydration my skin needs. The formula is super watery, and the sample container has such a large dispenser opening that the product basically pours out. Sensitive skin type. My skin got worse... it completely flipped out and looks dull. I have sensitive skin, and even though it's not seasonal transition weather, this product makes my skin incredibly dry and tight. It's causing serious irritation and my skin is completely reactive. It's not hydrating at all. I used it for a week thinking I needed an adjustment period, but I really regret it. I only tested the sample, but now I'm stuck with the full-size bottle I purchased... I'm honestly afraid to use it. If fermented skincare products don't work for your skin type, I absolutely cannot recommend this one.

Just applying the water essence twice gives you that luxurious, essence-infused feeling with added hydration that really sinks in. Honestly, there's nothing to complain about. It's so gentle and absolutely wonderful! I have combination skin, so I just layer the water essence twice, and that alone gives me a decent amount of hydration. If your skin tends to feel dry, you could always add a hydrating moisturizer on top for extra nourishment!

Unfortunately, it was out of stock, so I grabbed the water essence instead. It's such a gentle formula with barely any fragrance, and I'm really happy with it! The bottle holds quite a bit of product, so even though I use it generously, it lasts me a long time. This has such a lightweight, water-like texture and feels incredibly hydrating. When I use it after my toner pad, I don't experience any dry patches underneath. I absolutely recommend it! The price point feels a bit steep for what you're getting. I've been using this together with a cream and it's been working really well for me. I mentioned it in my cream review too, but my skin texture has definitely become smoother and my complexion feels clearer. The eco-conscious packaging is something I really appreciate! The design is clean and looks beautiful. Since I have sensitive skin, I skip the exfoliating toner and only use this as an essence. The watery formula makes it a bit tricky to apply as an essence though. I think it would be great if this came in a mist version too.
