No irritation! It was a bit pricey, but I'm really happy with this purchase! I used a retinol product before and didn't apply anything for about a year. Since it's summer and I was worried about my pores, I decided to give this a try. I was honestly shocked at how gentle it is on my skin. I haven't used it long enough to see major results yet, but I took before photos so I'll update you once I've tested it more! What really impressed me is the formula itself. Even though it's a retinol product, it's not greasy at all. The texture is just perfectly hydrating, absorbs super fast, and feels like a lightweight emulsion. My favorite part is definitely how the formula feels on the skin. The packaging looks luxurious too, and it's clearly designed to prevent air exposure so the product won't oxidize. By the way, HPR at 0.1% is considered a low concentration, so this is perfect if you're just starting out with retinol products. The price is a bit steep, but honestly it's worth buying if you catch it on sale with a discount code! You can find it on Musinsa or Zigzag. The product spreads smoothly and absorbs beautifully into the skin, leaving me with a real sense that it's working to refine my pores. I honestly can't think of any real downsides, so I'm definitely planning to repurchase this.

My skin feels so much firmer now, and the retinol is definitely doing its job. I love that it has centella asiatica in it too, which makes it way less irritating compared to other retinol products I've tried. At first, it felt a bit strong on my skin, but I adjusted to it pretty quickly. Make sure to only use this in the evening. The retinol product seems to work well for my skin, so I started with a lower concentration since I'm new to it. Once I finish this, I'm thinking about trying a higher concentration from VT or another brand. I haven't seen dramatic results on my skin yet. When I layer it a few times, there's just a slight tingling sensation that I'm cautious about. I can't really find a reason not to recommend it. I'm just using it as part of my regular skincare routine, and next time I want to challenge myself with a higher concentration! I only apply retinol in the evening, and I skip it on days when I've done exfoliation because I'm worried about compromising my skin barrier.

Here's how to use retinol properly: 1. Start low, go slow - don't use a lot at first. Begin with a small amount and gradually increase the quantity over time. 2. Avoid using it with acidic ingredients like vitamin C, AHA, or BHA products. 3. Don't combine it with anything that could irritate your skin, like scrubs, peeling products, or beauty devices. 4. If you use it in the morning, always apply sunscreen afterward. I actually use it in the morning too, and I've noticed my pores have genuinely shrunk. The fine lines under my eyes and on the inner cheeks have really improved - retinol is honestly amazing. I definitely recommend it! Don't use it together with products containing acidic ingredients like vitamin C, AHA, or BHA. If you apply it in the morning, make sure to use sunscreen. Start with a small amount and gradually increase the quantity over time - don't use a lot from the beginning.

I finished another brand's retinol 0.1 and decided to switch to this product, which is marketed as a 4th generation retinol. I applied it right away without any adjustment period. 1. I only have enlarged pores on one side of my cheekbones, and I can definitely feel them tightening up 3.
