I love that I can grab this at an affordable price point. It applies smoothly and when I use it before bed, I wake up with zero flaking the next day - my lips stay comfortable all day long! The applicator has a round shape, so it's easy to scoop out with your finger and apply. However, even after I wash it off with water the morning after applying it before bed, my lips still feel tight and parched, like I'm wearing a lip essence all day.

When you first apply it, it creates a smooth, slick layer on your lips that makes them feel dewy in that initial moment. The scent is barely noticeable and it's gentle enough that I can use it without worry even on sensitive days. I also appreciate that the tube packaging is hygienic and easy to dispense, though I do end up getting some product on my hands since you need to spread it around. But that's really where the benefits end. The moisture just sits on the surface and doesn't address the dryness underneath at all. I was expecting something with a richer, more nourishing feel since it's labeled as a lip essence, but it's really just a slippery oil layer. Any flakes get temporarily smoothed down but pop right back up, and my lips crack again quickly. I was disappointed to find that even after applying it overnight, my lips were just as dry when I woke up. I think this would work better as a layering product over my beloved Blistex Lip Medex. Since I can't throw it away, that's probably the best use for it.

I was in a rush and just grabbed it from the drugstore instead. It's way too greasy and doesn't hydrate my skin at all. I've been using this consistently for 2 years now. My lips get dry so quickly without a lip balm, especially throughout all four seasons, so I've tried plenty of expensive options out there. But honestly, nothing compares to this one. When I use it multiple times every single day, the amazing results seem to fade a bit. The tube format is definitely convenient to apply, but as someone with thinner lips, I can't control the amount well, so I'm not sure the hygiene aspect is as great as it could be. Plus, the amount in the tube is way too small, and it doesn't provide enough moisture. I've been searching for the right product to address my chapped lips, so I tested this one by applying it throughout the week whenever my lips felt dry. Since it's a lip essence balm, it's slightly rich in texture, but it delivers that moisturizing comfort I needed. I've been struggling to find a lip product that works for my chapped lips, and unfortunately this one isn't the right fit for me. The product itself is good quality, but two days after applying it, I noticed redness appearing around the edges of my lips. I think my lips might just be too sensitive for this formula. Unbeatable value for money and so easy to grab whenever you need it. If you realize you left your lip balm at home, you can just pick one up anywhere and start using it right away. When your lips are super dry and flaking, just apply a generous amount and after about 30 minutes, the dead skin starts to shed and you're left with beautifully soft, smooth lips. The applicator is a bit tricky to use. It melts in the summer and can leak everywhere, plus it's not the easiest to apply neatly. Don't apply it right before eating because even though it's flavorless, it's sticky and tacky, which isn't great. The applicator can be awkward if you just squeeze and apply directly, but if you squeeze it out first and then apply it, it works much better. It's honestly the best for exfoliating dead skin. Great for lip care! It's excellent at removing dead skin and flakes. My lips are extremely sensitive, so I've tried dozens of stick lip balms but they all let me down. I finally decided to give tube formulas a shot, tested a few of those too, and I finally found my holy grail! There's really not much to complain about, but since it comes in a tube, the product does tend to get messy on the outside of the container. That said, I don't carry it around with me, so it's not a big deal. I apply a generous amount before bed, and when I wake up in the morning and gently remove the flaky bits with a soft brush, my lips feel completely renewed and refreshed. True!
