I can't really tell much difference in summer, but during winter I've noticed it really helps with flaking and dry scalp concerns. I'm personally quite satisfied with the results. I bought this together with the tonic, and nothing beats the tonic's refreshing feel It's frustrating because the product doesn't dispense easily - I have to apply a lot of pressure and really squeeze hard to get it out. For the scalp essence, I'm currently just squeezing it generously and applying it like I would a facial essence
