During winter, I didn't need to layer anything else on top—this one product alone kept my lips moisturized and comfortable, which was fantastic. And the color is exactly what I was looking for: that perfect red-orange or coral tone that blends so naturally with my lip color. It was amazing! The grapefruit scent is incredible too—I felt happy every time I applied it. Plus, the staying power is pretty impressive. Sure, it comes off completely after eating, but when I'm just sipping water or other drinks, it barely budges. The one thing I wish was different is that the coral color tends to shift toward a more pinkish tone as time goes on, which is a bit disappointing. On top of that, the color itself is on the lighter side, which can be a drawback. It works great for creating a gradient effect. Of course, you'll need to layer a tint or lipstick in a different shade underneath, but it's perfect for that.

When you apply it, your lips get this gorgeous glass-like glossy finish. I usually swipe it lightly over my matte red lipstick, and it transforms into this stunning glossy orange-coral lip. The scent is literally like orange-flavored soda! It does have a sticky feel to it. The sticky texture? Honestly, I don't mind it since I actually like that feeling, but I know a lot of people aren't fans. The staying power isn't the longest either. And I'm not sure if it's just my lips, but when I tap it on and press gently, it adheres beautifully and gives this pretty coral-pink color. But if I rub it side to side while applying, it creates this patchy effect and comes out as a washed-out orange with white streaks. I'm not entirely sure why that happens. Empty tube review! Color Honestly, 98 percent of my decision to buy this came down to the shade. The moment I swatched it on my lips or tested it on my hand, I was completely smitten. It applies in such a gorgeous orange-coral tone that I couldn't resist. Moisture No matter how dry my lips get, this formula never emphasizes flakiness, and I'm so grateful for that. Sure, it does fade pretty quickly, but that's a small price to pay for the hydration it provides. Scent This could be a pro or con depending on your preference, but it has a mango fragrance. If you're sensitive to scents, you might find it bothersome, but personally, I didn't mind it at all. Ingredients I used to love this product, but after checking the ingredient list, I suddenly felt uneasy about it. I can't really recommend it based on the ingredient profile. Wear Time As I mentioned earlier, because this formula is so hydrating, the wear time is honestly pretty disappointing. After eating, the color only clings to the edges of my lips, which was frustrating. Blush Hack If you're not too concerned about the ingredients and love the color despite the short wear time, try using this as a blush instead. When I apply it, it doesn't look flat or matte—instead, it melts beautifully onto my lips with this natural, radiant finish that just glows! The only downside is that it feels a bit sticky and tacky, which is annoying, and the color doesn't last as long as I'd hoped. If you want to create a gradient effect, try applying a deeper shade first to the center of your upper and lower lips, then wait about 30 seconds for the color to set. After that, build up the lighter shade on the outer edges for a soft, blended transition. This technique gives you a gorgeous, natural-looking coral lip that's absolutely stunning!

I can't quite remember which exact shade I picked up, but the color is absolutely gorgeous! It's exactly what I was hoping for, and the color payoff is really nice too. The staying power is disappointing - it fades after just one meal, which means I have to reapply constantly. What really bothered me though was when I accidentally dropped it in water. I think I didn't dry it properly, because the lipstick started giving off this awful, unpleasant smell like something was off. I'm not sure if all lipsticks have this issue, but I didn't know what was happening at the time. The staying power is excellent, and the color is fantastic! It's such a gorgeous shade that my friends keep asking me about it. It's exactly the coral I was looking for! Plus, the price is really affordable! I also have Benefit's Blusher, and while it's in a similar price range, the formula and color feel quite different when applied. Genie Jelly has a more vibrant and glamorous finish. The only concern is that it contains quite a few potentially harmful ingredients, which I just found out about. On days when my lips are particularly dry or flaky, I'd recommend skipping this product to avoid emphasizing any texture issues. If you keep your lips well-moisturized and nourished as part of your regular routine, this product will look even more beautiful on you!

The color is absolutely gorgeous, and I love how moisturizing and nourishing it feels. The staying power is impressive too, so I'm definitely planning to repurchase! I'm not usually a fan of glossy finishes, but this one is way too shiny for my taste. I can make it work by blotting with a tissue, but even then it still transfers a bit. It's a shame because otherwise it's nice.
