The scent does remind me a bit of my mom's skincare from back in the day, but honestly, I've come around to fragranced products. I used to stick only with unscented formulas, but now I really appreciate when a product has a nice fragrance. It just makes me feel good when I use it. Foreign skincare brands can be pretty intense, but since this is a domestic brand, it works perfectly with my skin. Now I understand why people invest in premium skincare. It really does seem like a quality brand. Even with just one application, my skin feels incredibly soft and calm. Plus, it's not greasy or heavy at all—the balance is just right. The scent feels dated. I bought the toner, emulsion, and cream set, but I've used up the toner and cream while the emulsion is still going strong. I've been mixing it with another brand's products, and the results definitely aren't as good. The formula is a substantial liquid texture with a pump dispenser that's really convenient to use. It glides on smoothly without any stickiness, feels lightweight, and absorbs beautifully into the skin. I was pleasantly surprised by how gentle it is—this works for all skin types! The hydration boost is genuinely impressive. The bottle itself is gorgeous and feels luxurious. I love that the thick glass lets you see exactly how much product you've used. The scent is pretty strong at first, but it fades quickly once applied and doesn't linger, which is great. Out of all the emulsions I've tried, this one has given me the highest satisfaction. Even though I experienced some tightness initially, I definitely saw results. The fragrance is quite strong with that typical cosmetics smell, so it's definitely a love-it-or-hate-it situation. I'm wondering if the prickly pear extract is why the scent is so intense. The ingredient list is a bit underwhelming too. I deducted a star because of the strong fragrance and the price point. I'd recommend picking this up during a sale to give it a try!
