My skin was incredibly parched, so I decided to order this to mix with a facial oil. I'm really impressed because it actually tackles that dry, tight feeling! Plus, the scent is absolutely lovely. If you have sensitive, reactive skin, you'll definitely need to be careful about how much you use. I use it as a layering product over my regular cream, and apply more when my skin feels dry. When I mix it with my cream, it feels incredibly nourishing and doesn't leave my skin feeling parched. Even though I have sensitive skin, this oil hasn't triggered any breakouts or irritation. What surprised me most is how lightweight and non-greasy it feels despite being an oil—it absorbs beautifully into my skin. I've used the entire bottle and honestly can't complain about much. It has some sun protection benefits, so I apply it before my cream and use it to finish my routine. The camellia oil isn't too heavy either—it's a lightweight oil that I genuinely love using all the time. I haven't found any downsides yet. There's definitely a noticeable difference when I use the oil versus when I don't. It seems to work really well for dry skin underneath. Rather than mixing it into my cream, I prefer applying just 2 to 3 drops to gently massage my skin before applying the cream. The texture strikes a nice balance between lightweight and rich, though I'd say it leans slightly on the thinner side. I picked this up during winter to give my cream moisturizer an extra hydration boost. At first, I was using it regularly, but when my skin wasn't in the best condition, I got worried it might trigger whiteheads or breakouts, so I stopped reaching for the oil as much. My skin gets really dry during winter and I need an oil to combat that. Someone recommended camellia oil, so I decided to give it a try. It definitely does the job—my skin is no longer parched. I've used up the entire bottle and honestly have no complaints. The only minor concern is that it comes in glass, so there's a slight worry about it breaking? When winter rolled around last year, my face became incredibly dry, so I purchased this and applied it. Not only did it reduce the dryness, but my skin also looked more radiant and felt amazing. I used up the entire product and repurchased it. With the second purchase, I'm not entirely sure if it's as effective as the first time—partly because I've gotten used to it, and partly because summer arrived and it felt a bit too heavy, so I stopped using it. Now that my skin is getting dry again, I think I need to start using it. I really appreciate that it comes in a smaller size, which is perfect for seasonal use. Since it's an oil but not overly rich, I think even people with oily skin could apply it lightly when their skin needs that extra nourishment. When I purchased this in early spring, the expiration date was set for November, so I was planning to use it during winter. However, by the time winter arrived, the expiration date had already passed, and I couldn't use it. I opened it anyway and tried it in summer, but it felt way too heavy for that season, so I ended up not being able to use it at all. For products like facial oils, it would be really helpful if you could send items with a longer shelf life so customers have more flexibility with when to use them.
