The moment I pull this out of the pouch, I'm absolutely thrilled by how stunning it looks. The sophisticated black pattern and texture combined with the gold YSL logo is just gorgeous and makes me so happy. It has such a delicate fragrance and applies incredibly thin, adhering smoothly to my skin. I'm really impressed with how seamlessly it sits on my complexion. As time goes on, it doesn't break down messily. Instead, it blends beautifully with my skin's natural oils and develops this gorgeous luminous finish. The longer I wear it, the more natural and beautiful my skin looks. This cushion is really all about that radiant glow. My skin looks incredibly smooth and the coverage is fantastic. Even with the lightest application, it does an amazing job evening out my skin tone and smoothing over fine texture. I'm genuinely loving how well this performs. The puff is designed smaller for precise application, which is great in theory, but when I'm trying to cover my entire face, it feels noticeably smaller than a standard cushion puff. This means the application takes longer than I'd like. Rather than rubbing it on with sweeping motions, I find that gently stippling with the puff works best. I use a layering technique with small amounts at a time. Instead of loading the puff heavily from the start, I pick up just a little product, apply it thinly across the area, and then add extra coverage only where I need it. Since the color isn't too bright, I also love using shades 17-19. Shade 20 is the most popular one, but here's a heads up: the actual color is a bit different from what's shown on the product page, so definitely test it out first! Shade 10 has a subtle ivory-pink tone, shade 15 has an ivory glow, and shade 20 leans more pink, which is why it's so popular. If you're like me and prefer pink-based shades but find they make your skin look dull, shade 10 or 15 would work better for you! My skin is super dry, especially during summer with severe dehydration, but this cushion doesn't dry me out at all! The application is absolutely incredible - it spreads like soft dough, so smooth and effortless! While drugstore products are great too, I've never experienced an application this smooth before - it was a total game-changer! I personally love a thin, sheer cushion that lets my skin show through, and even the tiniest amount gives plenty of coverage. You really need to control the amount carefully though! The pore coverage and blemish coverage are flawless, and my skin looks beautiful without any darkening or breakdown throughout the day! If you don't control the amount well, it can get too thick, which is disappointing. I'm someone who prefers a thin cushion.

The color is absolutely stunning, and the luxurious luminous finish gives it such a sophisticated glow - it's definitely my holy grail. I use shade 21 and have combination skin with an oily T-zone that gets really shiny. During my cycle, I get breakouts on my chin. I received this as a gift and tried a department store cushion for the first time. If you're not great at makeup application, I totally recommend this one. Even if you just pat it on carelessly, it gives you a smooth, flawless finish and doesn't darken throughout the day. I'd suggest using this cushion during spring, fall, and winter without worrying about dryness, though I'd skip it in summer. It doesn't cover acne scars or discoloration well, so you'll need to use a separate concealer. In summer, it tends to break down pretty quickly.

If you're looking for a cushion that feels natural like your own skin but gives you a radiant, luminous glow with a luxurious shimmer, this is the perfect choice for you. The product quality itself is great, but I've noticed the cushion content dries out surprisingly quickly inside the case. Perfect for combination skin, with excellent coverage that gives a smooth, flawless finish. If you love pink-toned bases, you're going to absolutely adore this! It's just okay, nothing special really. I can't quite tell if it adheres well to the skin or not.
