This is absolutely my favorite lip product of all time! Sure, because it's so hydrating it does transfer a bit, but even when my lips are dry or in rough condition, the color applies so beautifully that it's perfect for winter. The staying power isn't the longest-lasting, but since it's a lip balm, reapplying doesn't feel like a hassle. It goes on so smoothly and looks gorgeous even without a mirror! This product is honestly the best lip product I've ever used. The formula and color are both absolutely perfect for me. If you have dry lips like me or struggle with chapped lips, or if you love delicate, soft-toned shades, I really think you should give this a try. This warm-toned lipstick is absolutely perfect as an everyday lip color. I love wearing it on its own, but on days when I go for a bolder makeup look, I use this as a base and apply a shade 10 to the inner lips for an extra pretty finish. The downside is that because it has a moisturizing liquid lipstick formula, it transfers quite a bit. It smudges heavily when I smoke and transfers noticeably during meals. Also, you really need to prep your lips well before applying it—if you have any flaking or dryness, it tends to emphasize those imperfections and look patchy. This shade works beautifully regardless of whether you have warm or cool undertones - it's so versatile! What really gets me is how luxurious the finish looks and how naturally the color applies to your lips. It's absolutely gorgeous, and I'm using it every single day. The formula is so moisturizing that you can wear it comfortably even during winter! I'd say you only need about five twists of the tube. It's best to rotate it gently from both ends when dispensing. The formula is a bit soft, so product can get on the outside of the tube if you're not careful. Just twist out exactly what you need to use. Just make sure to dispense a tiny amount at a time! Other than that, this is absolutely the perfect everyday lip product for me.

I have a lighter undertone and it applied beautifully with a subtle finish, but I've heard that those with deeper undertones get a more muted, sophisticated coral shade. The formula hugs your lips perfectly and has this gorgeous glossy finish that I'm totally obsessed with! Since it's a color balm, it's expected, but the only downside is that it wipes off pretty easily.

Color payoff Yves Saint Laurent is known for nailing coral shades, right? ㅋㅋ The color is a baby coral with a hint of white-pink, but when I apply it once, it comes out sheer, so I need to layer it 2-3 times to get the color I want. I was looking for a fresh nude pink, and I'm totally satisfied with the shade! I compared it with the Peripera Ink Mood Glow Balm that I have in my affordable collection, and the Peripera color balm has a bit more red undertone and better saturation! I also tested the Nature Republic Melting Balm, and that one has a softer, more delicate dewy pink tone with more shine! Classic tanghulu color balm vibes... 2. Stickiness and hydration It doesn't have the long-lasting moisture of a traditional lip balm, but my lips still stay hydrated and don't feel parched. The shine is a plump, jelly-like gloss, and it does feel a bit sticky when I move my lips. When applying the color, it goes on smoothly and feels tacky, so if you don't exfoliate first, you might get some pilling where the balm mixes with dead skin. Just keep that in mind! 3. Packaging True to its name, the Candy Glaze formula is soft and melts easily. The container is designed so you apply it little by little, and thankfully it has a retractable mechanism??? So when I accidentally pick up too much, it doesn't get messy around the cap. Also, the outer surface is transparent, so I can check my lip condition through the cap! It's super convenient when I'm not carrying a cushion compact with me ㅋㅋ 1. Itchiness When my lips aren't in great condition, they can feel itchy sometimes ㅠ That said, it's less irritating than the Dior color balm, so I prefer the Yves Saint Laurent version. Why are my lips so finicky... 2. Staining and longevity Obviously, since it's a color balm, there's zero staining. It wipes off cleanly with a makeup remover wipe. Think of it as a daily color lip balm that adds a hint of natural flush. The wear time is short too—it all comes off after eating ㅎ 3. Scent The fragrance is a sweet peach scent and it's quite strong. So if you dislike Yves Saint Laurent's signature scent, this might be hit or miss for you. 4. The evil price... First of all, this formula is incredibly hydrating and the name "Candy Glaze" is absolutely perfect for it. It delivers that gorgeous wet-look shine I've been seeing all over social media, and it really shows up beautifully on the lips. I'm so thrilled with this product and I'm using it every single day. Personally, I didn't find any downsides to this lipstick. That said, if you're sensitive to the brand's signature lipstick scent, you might want to skip it. This lipstick is incredibly moisturizing and the color payoff is amazing! I love that you can twist it backwards to control how much product you dispense - it makes application so convenient! The scent reminds me of fresh mango, which puts me in a great mood every time I apply it. And the packaging is absolutely gorgeous! The staying power isn't quite what I hoped for. I apply it before work and by lunchtime it's almost completely faded. Since I'm still wearing a mask, it tends to transfer onto the fabric, and whenever I eat, I need to reapply the lipstick. If you press too hard while applying, the formula can get a bit clumpy. For the best color results, try gently dabbing and tapping the lipstick onto your lips instead of swiping it on.
