The color is vibrant and beautiful, and it applies so smoothly that I find myself reaching for it all the time. The shade is quite intense, so on days when I'm going for a lighter makeup look, it was a bit tricky to make it work.

The staying power is absolutely fantastic, and the color has such a luxurious, sophisticated feel to it! It's quite warm-toned, so I ended up giving it to my mom. This clear, cool-toned red is absolutely stunning! The color is so gorgeous, and I love the design so much that I find myself reaching for it all the time! Honestly, it's tricky to apply smoothly. When I wear it alone, it looks a bit dated and tends to clump up. Even though it has a matte finish, it smudges really easily. I love how this shade applies so naturally - it's not overly bright or too deep, just the right amount of color payoff. It looks beautiful on its own, and it blends wonderfully when I mix it with other shades. For me, this needs a lip balm underneath to really show the color properly. This lipstick is so much more pigmented than I expected! It seems to work well on cooler skin tones too, though the payoff can be a bit unpredictable. That said, it's such a pure red that it's basically the gold standard for red lipsticks. Maybe it's just me, but the Yves Saint Laurent lipstick has this odd smell—kind of like fermented rice wine? And the color is so intensely pigmented that you really can't just swipe it on. You have to use a light hand, tap it on gently, and blend it out carefully! Wearing this shade solo might feel a bit overwhelming because the color is so rich and saturated. I'm really loving this as a lip tint! I apply a lip base first, and then this on top, and it creates such a natural, effortless look! Honestly, there's really nothing to complain about. If I had to nitpick, I'd say the only thing is that it's a pretty bold red shade, but that's really it!

Plus, the color payoff is absolutely stunning! The shade is more intense than I expected. Also, I think this color works better for cool undertones rather than warm undertones.
