I've been using this for several months now, and here's my honest take. I've never been a fan of mineral sunscreen because it feels tight and leaves my skin parched, so I've stuck with organic options. My skin is combination and prone to rosacea. Once my rosacea flared up, organic sunscreen became too irritating. I searched everywhere for a mineral option with effective cleansing power, and I found this one. The initial feel was hydrating, but as time went on, it became uncomfortably tight and dry. I figured out how to use it without the dryness. Because of my rosacea, liquid products don't work well for me, so I skip toners, essences, and ampoules. I only use one cream as my base, but I layer it with another lightweight cream that works beautifully with my skin. I apply my base products, wait about 10 minutes, then apply the mineral sunscreen, and the dryness practically disappears. It feels comfortable. Since I'm in my 30s, I appreciate how lightweight and non-irritating this feels. Unless you're spending the whole summer outdoors in intense heat, this is more than enough for your needs. If you rush through your skincare routine or apply the mineral sunscreen right after your base products, you'll definitely feel dryness. I have extremely sensitive skin that can't tolerate organic UV filters and gets irritated even with mineral sunscreen, but this product caused zero irritation and felt so soothing on my skin. I've gone through almost three bottles already. I even used it during my worst breakouts and skin inflammation, and it worked beautifully. Even though I've emptied three bottles, here's why it's not my holy grail product. Mineral sunscreen formulas naturally leave a white cast, and there's no way around it. When I apply it once, the white cast isn't too bad, but when I layer it, the white cast becomes really, really intense. There's also some pilling, though I'm not sure if that's the product's fault or my skin's issue. Right now, when my skin is so compromised that I can't use just any sunscreen, this works fine. But if I had normal skin, I honestly wouldn't choose this product over others. Recommended for these skin types: If your skin barrier is damaged and you can't tolerate most sunscreens, this is for you. If you want a sunscreen that removes easily, definitely try this. If organic UV filters have irritated your skin in the past, this is a great alternative. Not recommended for these skin types: If application texture and white cast are deal-breakers for you, skip this. If you're looking for a sunscreen that layers well without issues, this isn't it. I was worried about finding a sunscreen that would work for my problematic skin, but a friend recommended this and I'm so glad I tried it! It's definitely gentle and doesn't irritate my skin at all. I'm really happy with it! I don't have any major complaints, but I wish the bottle came with more product. That would make it even better!
