Since it's less oily, it spreads smoothly across my entire face without any pilling. Absorption Since it's a balm, it doesn't absorb as quickly as a hydrating cream, but it soaks in within a minute or so, which feels really comfortable and non-heavy. Moisture Since I have combination skin, I felt like it hydrated my skin just right. That said, my forehead where I have more oil glands did break out a bit. If you adjust the amount based on what works for your skin, I think it would be so much better. Scent Fragrance-free. You only get the natural scent of the ingredients, which makes me feel like I'm truly focusing on pure skincare. It's a well-known product, but honestly, the amount you get for the price is disappointing. During winter evenings, I usually layer an emulsion and then apply this intensive cream on top of my barrier cream, and I was really impressed with how effective this product is at hydrating and soothing skin even when using just a small amount. Since it's an intensive night balm, it does have some richness to it, but it's not greasy at all—it's actually the perfect texture for winter nighttime skincare! I wish I'd started using it earlier in the season so I could have enjoyed it all winter long. I've tried La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Balm, Bioderma PP Balm, and Bioderma Cica Bio Pomade Cream before, and honestly, the Bioderma PP Balm and Zeroid Intensive Balm are my absolute favorites! The texture is nicely rich with great spreadability, so it glides on smoothly and feels amazing to apply! Since this is such a hydrating product, I don't think I'll be able to use it once the weather gets warmer. It's perfect for layering over an emulsion or hydrating cream during winter. I usually alternate between gentle products and barrier-repair formulas. I've always wanted to try Zeroid since the brand is widely prescribed by dermatologists and is famous for barrier care, so I was really grateful to get the chance through this review program. What I love: First, it's incredibly gentle. As someone with sensitive skin, I was able to use it without any adjustment period. The texture is light despite the hydration level. I tested it during the transition from winter to spring, and the moisturizing power was outstanding. Plus, the lightweight application made it so easy to use. It actually improves your skin barrier. I've tried other barrier-repair creams too, and both worked well for me. This one seems especially perfect for winter and seasonal transitions. For oily skin like mine, it did cause some minor congestion. Using a smaller amount seems to be the key tip for getting the best results.

I've even dealt with rosacea before, and right now I occasionally get contact dermatitis in my T-zone area! I've tried the Zero-id soothing line, MD, and intensive line—all of them. Since I have combination skin, I use the soothing line during the summer months! For those with sensitive skin, I'd suggest going with basic, skin-recovery-focused products rather than heavily active treatments! While results vary from person to person, Zero-id was the product that helped prevent my skin from getting worse without causing any side effects, compared to other derma and regenerating creams! I was worried it might feel too rich, but the hydration level is just right, so I think anyone except those with extremely oily skin can use it comfortably by adjusting the amount! The application is smooth too, so I use it before makeup without any issues! Since I've been happily using Zeroid Soothing Cream and Rich Cream for years, I trusted the brand and gave this a try. My skin is incredibly sensitive, thin, and prone to redness, so finding a cream that works well is usually a challenge, but this one worked beautifully without any irritation. I loved the rich, creamy texture and the fragrance-free formula even more. My cheeks were flushed from the cold weather, so I applied my regular cream before bed and layered this on top, and it calmed everything down so quickly. I was really impressed with how soothing it felt. On its own, the moisturizing effect feels a bit lacking, so I think it works better when you apply your regular essence cream first and then layer this on top for added hydration. If you apply a thicker layer to areas that need extra attention, it works even better.

Skin type: dry -Application: In the beginning, it glides on incredibly smoothly, but as I massage it a bit, it gradually becomes thicker and heavier. I think people with skin types other than dry might find it a bit heavy! -Absorption: The absorption is really fantastic, and it absorbs super quickly! It absorbs so well that I'm slightly wondering if it's truly sinking deep into the skin, haha! Recommended skin type: dry skin! First, I don't think it would be easy to apply before morning makeup. Most base products before makeup should be lightweight, but this one feels quite heavy right from application, so makeup might shift a lot. As for absorption, it does absorb quickly, so people with normal to oily skin might not have issues using it. However, this makes me wonder if it's actually effective for dry skin types. I'm a bit concerned about whether it's working or not, haha. The fragrance is unscented, so there shouldn't be strong preferences either way. It's not a major tip, but I highly recommend applying this as a night treatment before bed rather than as a base before makeup! So even during winter when my skin gets dry, I'd just layer a regular cream twice and call it a day. But I got the chance to try Zeroid Intensive Cream, and wow! I'll admit I'm not the best about taking my makeup off - sometimes I go a whole week without removing it, sometimes just a few times. Pretty lazy of me, I know. Last Saturday though, I went about 48 hours without taking it off and ended up with five breakouts. I was desperate, so I grabbed this cream as an emergency fix. Honestly, it was a lifesaver. The second I applied it, I literally said out loud "What?" I couldn't believe it. This is actually a night cream, but after just a couple of light applications, it absorbed so fast! And it locked in all the moisture while giving just the right amount of nourishment - no greasy feeling, no sticky residue at all. The texture isn't thin, but somehow it just melts right in. I have no idea how it does that! The angry red breakouts turned yellow and started healing the very next day. They calmed down so quickly and didn't get worse. I was so relieved! I've heard for ages that Zeroid creams are the ones dermatologists recommend, so I really wanted to try it. And it totally lives up to the hype. It's incredibly soothing and works so fast. This is officially my go-to emergency product now. I'm actually using it so much that I'm skipping my makeup removal routine more often - which is probably not great, I know. But I really should be cleansing properly every night and applying this for the best results. My only regret is not discovering this sooner. Why didn't I find something this good earlier? It's perfect for winter, early spring, the in-between seasons, and fall. For summer, I think it would be amazing for people with dry skin. For other skin types, you could apply a thin layer and it creates a nice protective barrier without feeling heavy. It's not irritating at all - it's so gentle and soothing. If you want to maximize the benefits, try applying a soothing cream or a lighter moisturizer first, then layer the Zeroid Intensive Cream on top. You'll notice even better results.
