I've been using the older version in the larger size for quite a while now. Honestly, I can't really tell if my hair texture has improved or if my color and perm hold better with this one. The thing is, results depend so much on how you care for your hair and your daily habits—like how you brush or handle your hair—that I don't think you can expect a shampoo alone to do all the work. So setting that aside, let me tell you what I actually think: The scent is lovely—it's got this clean, soapy vibe mixed with floral notes. It's the kind of fragrance that most people will enjoy, nothing too polarizing or unusual. I'd say almost everyone would like it. The lather is rich and creamy, which felt great for my combination to dry hair. However, I wouldn't recommend it for oily hair types. For those with oily scalps or scalp issues, this has a moisturizing feel that might be too heavy. The oil buildup happens noticeably faster. Overall, it's a solid, reliable shampoo without any major standout features or drawbacks—just a dependable, above-average option that does the job well.
Despite its name suggesting it would boost perm or color longevity or provide protection, I honestly can't see any real difference in those areas.
