The pads are quite substantial, which means they take up some space on my vanity, but since they're so versatile, having just one is really convenient. What Could Be Better: They dry out faster than I expected. Since my skin tends to be on the drier side, I wish the pads were a bit thicker to hold more moisture. How I Use It: This product is gentle enough and suitable for acne-prone skin, so I use it for toning, gentle exfoliation, soothing, morning cleansing, and makeup correction. Since my skin is dehydrated and oily, I'm not entirely sure how hydrating this really is. If you're like me and need to leave the pad on until it dries completely to feel the full effect, you might find this a bit disappointing. A reliable everyday essential. This is basically a skin toner pad with the essence packed in. It's gentle on sensitive skin, helps control excess oil, and gives a slight cooling sensation. Great for calming redness. Didn't notice any standout results. I'm on my fifth bottle of this product. It's gentle on my skin and leaves it feeling beautifully hydrated, which I absolutely love. There's really nothing disappointing about it. This is truly my holy grail product! I absolutely love it! The pads are incredibly soft and saturated with a generous amount of essence. I've been using this since I first collaborated with YouTuber Zela, and I thought it was great from an ingredient standpoint. After seeing Zela's review highlighting how effective it is for breakouts and calming, I bought it multiple times. Unfortunately, it didn't work as well as I hoped for my skin. Even though it was advertised as gentle enough for sensitive skin, it just didn't suit me, so I don't use it on my face much anymore. The pad has an oval shape that you can stretch, and even when stretched, it doesn't tear or feel thin—the texture stays consistent. It's easy to apply on the forehead and cheeks, but I found it a bit awkward to use on the nose and chin area. When I left it on for too long, it felt itchy and slightly stinging. After using it several days in a row, I noticed a few breakouts appeared. Now I only use it on my face for quick swipes, and I mostly use it on my body instead. If you have sensitive skin, there's actually an identical product at the drugstore now, so I'd recommend buying a smaller pad product first to test it out. The houttuynia scent is pretty divisive—since I'm sensitive to fragrance, I pick up an earthy, herbal note that's not particularly pleasant. The pad itself feels gentle and doesn't seem irritating, but I wouldn't recommend it for sensitive skin types. The scent is hit or miss, and since I have sensitive skin, when I apply it to my face it feels itchy and stinging, and I occasionally get breakouts. The difference in my skin texture between days when I use it as an exfoliating toner and days when I just use a mist-type toner is... honestly completely different. Not only does it remove dead skin cells, but it really seems to help calm breakouts too! When I gently exfoliate with this pad and then layer on serum and cream, my skin looks absolutely flawless the next day. You should definitely give this a try! When it touches breakouts, there's a slight stinging sensation sometimes. The irritation isn't severe, but there's a bit of a tingly feeling, probably from the alcohol content. Don't scrub too hard—just use gentle, light motions and you'll still get plenty of exfoliation. This product really helped calm and soothe my skin! It turned out to be exactly what my skin needed. My skin isn't particularly prone to breakouts, so I can't speak to how well it prevents acne, but I've noticed it does help keep blemishes from forming as easily. What I absolutely love is how incredibly hydrating it feels! The essence is so generous in quantity that my skin stays moisturized all the way through to the last sheet. The hydration level stays consistent from the very first application to the end, which is amazing. I think toner pads inevitably cause some irritation to the skin. That's why I focus mainly on oil-absorbing formulas. I see a lot of people using exfoliating toners because they remove dead skin cells and help with small bumps and other skin concerns. But I really don't think applying that kind of exfoliating treatment every single day is good for your skin. I'd suggest using an oil-absorbing toner as your daily base, almost like a sheet mask treatment, and then maybe use an exfoliating toner just once a week or so, very occasionally. I used to do exfoliating toner every time I did my makeup back in the day. Even after double cleansing, I felt like there was still product residue left behind, which made me uncomfortable. But when I added exfoliating toner on top of already thorough cleansing, my skin became more sensitive. I really want to help others avoid this, so I strongly recommend focusing mainly on oil-absorbing toners instead. In winter, if you keep it by the window, it gets nice and cool, giving you that refrigerated effect! In summer, even just leaving it by a window where the sun doesn't hit directly, or closing the blinds, keeps it refreshingly cool. This actually proves how effective the cooling properties of this product really are!
