I originally bought this from another brand, but I grabbed one during a sale at this store. Since I have combination skin, I was using a different luxury brand before, but switched because of the price difference. At one-third of the cost, I'm really happy with the quality. My skin doesn't look like porcelain or a perfect egg after application, but I think that's partly just my skin type. The coverage is great after I apply it, and my skin doesn't look heavy or suffocated. As time goes on and my skin gets a bit oily, it actually gives off a nice dewy glow. When I check my makeup in the afternoon after applying it in the morning, I do notice some pore visibility and slight lifting. That said, it really depends on your skin condition, so it's not always an issue. I have the absolute worst skin combination - acne-prone, sensitive, and dehydrated all at once. Honestly, I'm obsessed with how well this foundation covers and lasts, so I keep repurchasing it. The only thing is that the formula feels a bit strong for my skin, so I've learned to skip certain steps - I never dampen my sponge with water, and I absolutely never mist over my base. As long as I avoid those tricks and focus on a solid skincare routine with thorough cleansing, my skin stays clear and looks amazing! But here's what really gets me excited - the fact that it comes in a 15ml mini size! I used to wear shade 23, but my skin got so dry that I switched to 25. Since my skin tone shifts back and forth with the seasons, buying a full 30ml bottle felt like too much of a commitment. So I'm thrilled I can stock up on the mini sizes in different shades, from lighter tones all the way to 25. Please, Vanilla Co., keep selling the mini forever! The ingredients triggered my skin issues, and I'm not the only one dealing with this. But I managed to work through it, so it's fine. For anyone with sensitive skin: Do not use a water-dampened sponge when applying this. Do not spray mist over your base. This foundation has excellent adhesion and covers most blemishes beautifully without needing concealer. The staying power is impressive too - it's honestly a life-changing product! The shade runs quite a bit lighter than the number suggests, so if you typically wear shade 23, this might look a bit off on your skin tone. Also, the glass case is pretty heavy, which can be inconvenient to carry around.

The setting happens so quickly, and I've never had any breakouts while using this! For shade 23, it doesn't feel heavy at all, so I'm really happy with it. Since this foundation shade is noticeably lighter than the cushion formula, if you mess up the application amount, you could end up with an overly dramatic makeup look. The staying power and coverage are absolutely amazing! The shade seems quite bright compared to other brands. I used to jump between different foundations, but I think I'm going to stick with Vanilla Coat from now on! I did find that the application and wear felt a bit too matte for my preference. If you have dry skin, this seems like it would be perfect for summer use. I really love how it has such strong coverage. There is some flaking visible, and it does darken slightly, but honestly that's acceptable for me. I love how beautifully this blends out and stays put all day. I have pretty prominent freckles, but this foundation covers them just right! The shade range is fantastic, and even though I have dry skin, the formula applies with a nice dewy finish that feels moisturizing. It's hard to tell how much product is left in the bottle. You can only really gauge the remaining amount when you're almost at the end.
