This product applies so smoothly and keeps my skin feeling fresh and hydrated all summer long. I'd definitely recommend it for oily skin types. If you have dry skin, this might leave your complexion feeling parched. It's really best suited for oily skin during the warmer months.

The product itself has minimal ingredients, so it feels gentle and focuses on the basics with a soothing gel texture. Since it doesn't provide much moisture and is really just for hydration, I think it would work better for oily or combination skin rather than dry skin. The texture isn't sticky either, so I'll probably mix it in occasionally during my morning skincare routine in the middle of summer, or apply it frequently as a hydration booster. When I open the sample and squeeze it onto my palm, out comes a transparent soothing gel that looks like ice. But here's the thing—whenever my room is warm or there's heat on my palm, it turns completely runny and loses its gel consistency. I came back from a Southeast Asia trip with really severe sun damage and was struggling with it. Once I started applying this regularly, my skin calmed down and the hydration really kicked in. My skin stopped peeling and the irritation disappeared, so my skin bounced back quickly. I think the dryness that comes with aloe is just something you have to accept. When I first apply it, it feels incredibly hydrating, but once it absorbs, it leaves my skin feeling quite dry. That said, I haven't experienced any breakouts and my skin feels really clarified and balanced. I think this is perfect for oily skin types! I'm honestly so happy with it. My complexion is really finicky, and nine out of ten products on the market just don't work for me. The cream, cleansing foam, and sunscreen I'm currently using all happen to be certified by Dermatest Excellence, so I thought this might work too and decided to give it a try. But it made my skin red and irritated, so it's not compatible with my skin. I was hoping to use something refreshing during summer, which is disappointing. When I use Aromatica Aloe Gel, my face actually becomes severely dehydrated afterward. This soothing gel, however, doesn't give me that feeling. It feels refreshing when I apply it to my face and absorbs nicely, so the texture is actually pleasant to use. That said, since soothing gels by nature don't really provide that hydrating and nourishing sensation, I think this would work best as a cooling treatment to lower skin temperature or as a calming product. It's a pretty straightforward product, just like its ingredient list suggests. The biggest disappointment for me is that it doesn't work for my skin and causes irritation. I used to think that if a product has a simple ingredient list, there's no reason it wouldn't work. I love how gentle and non-irritating this is. I'd recommend applying a soothing gel before your base routine, then finishing with a hydrating product for the best results. I thought this might be enough to use on its own during hot weather, but I found it left my skin feeling dry. I ended up needing to add a moisturizing product to my routine for better hydration.
