It feels light and hydrating without any sticky residue. The scent is subtle and not overpowering, and my skin feels incredibly soft right after application. I use it before makeup and it never causes any pilling or separation. Even though it's supposed to be moisturizing, it's not enough to use on its own during fall and winter. This is really great when you want to cool down that heat sensation. It gives you such a refreshing feeling, and I think it's especially perfect for summer. This moisturizer delivers serious hydration! I've tried regular soothing creams before and they left my skin feeling parched, but this one is absolutely perfect for my needs. Some gel products have that dragging, paste-like consistency, but this one absorbs smoothly into the skin. Great for skin that reacts to pore-clogging ingredients. About 10 minutes after application, the hydration fades, but the skin's smoothness remains. Back to the 90s. The scent smells like something from your mom's makeup collection back in the 1990s, and it's quite strong. About 10 minutes after applying the product to the skin, as the remaining gel formula disappears, the fragrance fades too, but not before making an impression. For anyone who doesn't love strong scents, this could be a real turnoff. I'm sensitive to fragrances myself, so it wasn't for me. I received a 30ml sample, so I didn't know the price until I checked the full-size version. I was shocked at how expensive it actually is. If it weren't for the fragrance issue, I'd just think of it as a decent gel with no real problems. There are actually several other gels with similar good ingredients and finish that come to mind as alternatives, so I wouldn't say don't buy it, but I'm not exactly recommending it either. That said, it doesn't cause any issues for me. My skin is quite sensitive to ingredients, and even natural components can trigger reactions if they're only 1-2 grades in the formula. Sometimes even water can irritate my compromised skin barrier, but this caused no problems, so safety-wise, it checks out. If I had to choose between not recommending and recommending, I'd lean toward recommending.
