* Honest review after using all summer long * After completing my base makeup, I only apply powder to my jawline, between my brows, temples, and eyelids. During summer, my bangs and side hair get so greasy from my skin's oil production that powder is absolutely essential. I was using loose powder, but it felt a bit heavy, so I decided to try a compact powder for the first time. The difference is really noticeable—on days I use powder versus days I don't, the oil control is completely different. Where I apply the powder, barely any oil comes through at all. I apply it once in the morning and don't reapply powder throughout the day. Even though my skin is prone to breakouts and sensitivity, this product doesn't trigger any new blemishes or irritation. It works great for sensitive, acne-prone skin without any issues. I thought the price was a bit steep at first, but it lasts way longer than I expected. Since there's no pilling or dryness, I'm definitely planning to repurchase! Honestly, there really wasn't anything bad about it. I definitely prefer powders with subtle shimmer over completely matte options. There's something about that delicate pearl finish that just makes my skin look so much better, you know? I love either using a shimmery powder or applying a soft-focus highlighter in strategic spots over a matte base. I was honestly skeptical when I heard 'pink beam compact' because I thought, 'Wait, are they really going for that intense pink glow all over the face?' But the shimmer here is so understated and refined. It's the kind of gentle pearl that doesn't scream for attention, just gives your skin that naturally luminous, well-textured finish. I think I'll be able to apply this all over my face without any hesitation. That said, I just opened this and have only used the top layer so far, so the shimmer might be building up more subtly than it will later. Once I use it more and the powder gets more compressed, I might pick up more of that pearl effect. If that happens, I'll definitely update my review. I also really appreciate that you added an extra layer to keep the puff separated from the powder. It does make the compact a bit heavier, but it's such a smart design choice for keeping everything hygienic. I mostly use a brush anyway, but even with the puff, the formula is firm enough that controlling the amount isn't an issue. I have to talk about the ingredients. What's going on with the formula? I'm taking off a star because of the ingredient list. There are eight potentially allergenic components in here, and I'm really concerned. Could you please reformulate this with gentler, cleaner ingredients? I've seen other powders come out recently with much better ingredient profiles, so I bought this without hesitation, but now I'm disappointed. Please consider improving the formula.

The product claims to have oil control, but honestly, I don't really notice that benefit. The tricky part is that if you're not careful with how much you use, it can look way too shiny and powdery, almost like a gel nail finish. You really have to apply it sparingly. I'm also not sure if the built-in applicator puff is the best fit for me.
