Honestly, this works so much better than a regular lip balm for me! It has that true Vaseline feel, you know? It instantly takes care of any flakiness, and my lips feel deeply moisturized all the way through. In terms of performance, I really think it's fantastic! - The color is much lighter than I expected. You really have to apply a lot to see any payoff, so I basically use it as a lip gloss now! If you're looking for actual color, I'd recommend going for something with more pigment. - It's not heat-resistant, so it's a hassle to carry around in summer. Even if just a tiny bit of the balm peeks out of the container, it melts and makes the whole thing slippery and messy. - The dispenser is tricky to control. You twist the dial at the bottom to get product, but one turn gives you way more than you actually need, which is pretty inconvenient. - One last thing: the strawberry scent is nice, but when it gets in your mouth, it kind of kills your appetite. That's a small downside for me! [In the first photo, you can see how it looks layered over lipstick, and below that is how it looks on its own!] When you use it as a gloss topper, it gives everything a glossy finish with just a hint of pink tone. Since it's winter, my lips have been so dry and flaky. I grabbed this lip balm that was on sale, and I'm absolutely loving the color! It's a moisturizing formula that feels a bit thick and creamy, creating this gorgeous sealed coating on my lips. It's become my winter essential now. I haven't found any major issues yet, but I do find it slightly inconvenient that I need to carry an applicator tool with me instead of just using my fingers when I want to apply it. It looks beautiful when I layer it with other lip products too.
