I have dehydrated oily skin that gets really sensitive whenever my skin barrier gets compromised. The application is lightweight and powdery with a matte finish, but when you touch it, it feels incredibly silky and smooth. What's amazing is how it brightens my complexion and actually fills in my pores and texture, giving my skin such a refined, smooth appearance—like it's been filtered. During harsh, dry winters, I'd probably switch to a richer, more emollient sunstick (like La Roche-Posay's formula, which I honestly can't use outside of winter because it feels too heavy), but for every other season, I'll keep reaching for this one. It works great in summer too. Even though it has that lightweight, powdery feel, it doesn't dry out or become uncomfortable as time goes on. If people say it's matte, that's just because the formula itself is naturally lightweight—it's not a drawback. If you have extremely dry skin, you'd probably be better off with a richer, more nourishing product. Plus, it contains ingredients that help prevent fine lines, which gives me peace of mind. Please don't discontinue this product! I'm genuinely very satisfied with it. The only tricky part is holding the base product in one hand while trying to open the cap with the other—it takes both hands to manage. Other than that small inconvenience, everything else has been really satisfying. I have fair skin with some redness and larger pores, but when I apply my base products and then layer this sunstick followed by a filter-style sunscreen like Amelie's, my skin tone and texture look so refined and polished. When I do my makeup that way, my skin confidence goes way up.

This sun stick is absolutely wonderful for facial use because it delivers a matte finish while still keeping your skin feeling hydrated and nourished. Spring/Fall: dry skin, Summer: oily T-zone with dry and combination areas, Winter: extremely dry My skin is quite sensitive and reacts immediately if a product doesn't work for me 1. Excellent spreadability makes application effortless I really appreciate how easy it is to apply after my basic skincare routine. Most sunsticks on the market are either too flat or awkwardly oversized, which works fine for the body but feels inconvenient on the face. This one has a lip balm-like shape, but the applicator is just the right size like a luxury lip balm! I can hold it with one hand and glide it on smoothly, and it's super convenient to reapply while I'm out and about. 2. Leaves a primer-like finish When I apply this and layer my cushion foundation on top, it creates that primed, plump effect. It's not that uncomfortable tight feeling from dryness, but rather a soft, bouncy finish with just enough moisture remaining. When I touch my skin, it feels incredibly smooth and supple, which makes me really happy. I rarely give low ratings, but at some point, I started experiencing severe dryness around my eyes when falling asleep and waking up. It was so uncomfortable that I wondered if I needed to see a doctor. Even though I do have some dry eye syndrome, I've never had to desperately search for artificial tears like I was looking for an oasis in the desert right after waking up. So I stopped using everything and tested recent product changes on myself like a clinical trial to find the culprit, and it turned out to be this sunstick. I was thorough with my cleansing routine and even cleaned around my eyes with cleansing water, but my entire eye area turned bright red and I was desperately applying artificial tears three times in the middle of the night. If you have dry eye syndrome, please be really careful. If you apply this around your eyes, you need to cleanse very thoroughly. The compact size is perfect for carrying around, and the teardrop shape makes application so convenient. It glides on smoothly and leaves a fresh, matte finish—I'd definitely recommend this for oily skin types. Like most sunsticks, I worry it might cause makeup to shift if I apply it over my base, so I only use it on bare skin. I apply sunscreen in the morning, then touch up with this sunstick before lunch, and it works perfectly. It eliminates any shine that builds up and reapplies UV protection, so I highly recommend it.

I was genuinely unsure whether I'd actually applied this product or not—there's absolutely no residue or heavy feeling left behind after use. It finishes completely matte with zero shine and feels incredibly light and dry, with no oily residue whatsoever. It's literally like you've applied nothing at all, which is exactly what makes it perfect. If you absolutely hate that sticky, heavy feeling that most products leave behind, this is definitely going to be your new favorite. The fragrance is quite strong, so I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who prefers fragrance-free formulas. That said, the scent is only noticeable while you're applying it—once it's on your skin, it fades away, so it doesn't bother me too much.
