This soothing ampoule is perfect for dry skin during winter. It delivers great hydration and really helps calm irritated skin. The formula felt a bit too heavy to apply before makeup.

The Chaga Mushroom line had a lighter, more fluid texture, but the Artichoke line felt a bit thicker and more viscous. Because of that heavier consistency, applying it right after cleansing as my first step felt a little sticky on my skin. That was a small letdown for me, but I have to say the soothing effect is really impressive. My skin's overall condition has noticeably improved since using it, so I'm definitely satisfied. Epilow products are definitely worth trusting and repurchasing. The thicker consistency means the dropper doesn't always dispense smoothly, but if you press firmly, it comes out without much trouble. If you're someone who dislikes sticky ampoules, I'd skip this one. I originally purchased this product because I deal with frequent breakouts and wanted something that would calm my skin while also providing hydration. As other reviews mention, this isn't a lightweight serum by any means. However, since I started using this ampoule, I've noticed my breakouts calm down much better than before. Plus, it delivers plenty of moisture to keep my skin feeling hydrated. I've seen other people complain about the dropper, but I actually find it works great for me. Just so you know, the dropper is designed to be fully depressed first, then inserted into the ampoule while in that pressed state so it can draw the product up. I think the complaints come from people trying to insert the dropper into the ampoule and pull it up without following this method. I bought this after reading positive reviews about how it's gentle even for sensitive skin. For the first three days, I used it without any issues and my skin felt nicely hydrated, which was great. However, breakouts started appearing from day four onward, so I had to stop using it. My skin tends to break out with products that are supposed to be calming, whether they contain cica, madecassoside, tea tree, or similar soothing ingredients. The first three days went smoothly without any problems, but starting from day four, my skin became red and breakouts appeared, so I discontinued use. I tried using it again about a week later, but my skin immediately turned red again, so I stopped. This is my absolute favorite product. This soothing ampoule has been my lifesaver when my skin was acting up. I think the price is really fair, and I appreciate that they included so many sheet masks as a bonus. I'm in love with it. Thank you, Epilow. The texture strikes the perfect balance—not too thin, not too heavy—so it absorbs incredibly fast. I love the cooling sensation it gives, and the green color makes me feel like it's working extra hard to calm my skin. No sticky residue at all, which is amazing. I'll need to keep using it consistently to see the full benefits, but I'm already impressed. The glass bottle feels a bit slippery, which makes me nervous about dropping it. My skin was really irritated and my cheeks were itchy all over that day. I tried this product and it calmed everything down so quickly—the itching stopped and I was really happy with it. I didn't experience any breakouts or irritation either. It also provides plenty of hydration, and the packaging looks beautiful and luxurious. I prep my skin with a cooling toner before applying this ampoule, but once I apply it, my face gets warm and the cooling effect completely disappears. So I try to restore that cooling sensation by layering a rich cream with a strong cooling effect afterward, but this ampoule alone makes my face temperature rise noticeably. It might just not be the best match for my skin type, but honestly, I think this is a pretty mediocre ampoule. There's nothing about it that stands out as particularly amazing. It's just an ampoule that soothes decently and provides moderate hydration. If you don't care about the cooling effect, it could work fine as a daily product. It does have some oil content, it's not lightweight, and it has a heavier texture overall. Just try to buy it from Olive Young if you can. When I was dealing with facial breakouts, I realized that sheet masks were clogging my pores for 15 minutes straight. So I switched things up and started using an artichoke ampoule instead—I'd apply a generous amount and do a 10-minute treatment. The next day, my skin was noticeably calmer! The formula is really gentle and works wonderfully for soothing irritated skin. Sometimes the dropper doesn't pick up the serum as smoothly as I'd like. I wish they'd redesign the dropper handle so the suction works better and the product flows more easily.
