This unique brown-meets-gray is absolutely stunning. Apply one coat and you'll get a sheer, subtle finish that's so elegant. Then add a second coat to the inner lip for a gorgeous autumn-inspired gradient effect. What I love most is that it's brown without any yellow undertones, so it works beautifully for both deep and cool skin tones. The formula has a luxurious velvet texture with incredible staying power, so there's no flaking or patchiness whatsoever. It adheres really well without any flaking, but honestly, it sticks so well that the color actually clings to any dry patches on your lips. The cap has the Espoir logo on it, and while it's nice, I find myself just closing it randomly instead of bothering to line it up perfectly every time. If you apply lip balm and then layer this on top, it can look streaky and uneven. I'd recommend doing a good lip care routine first, wiping everything clean, and then applying the lipstick for the best results.

It's a brown shade, but when you apply it lightly, it looks so natural and beautiful. Even though it's a matte lipstick, the color stays put without feeling dry at all. The texture is so much better compared to their previous lipstick formula. I wish the case design was more consistent - the front is brown but the back is clear, which feels a bit incomplete.

You understand me, Espoir? About me: I have a shade 23 skin tone with muted saturation and a deep undertone, though I'm becoming more and more certain about it. My skin is oily, but my lips are dry - basically a complete contradiction on my face. Color: This shade is absolutely perfect for me. So obviously perfect for me too. It's like a rose-flavored chocolate - a blend of pink-brown with more brown and gray tones mixed in. So beautiful. Honestly, they really nailed the color. Other people describe it as cool brown, but honestly, who cares - it's just gorgeous. It's a brown lipstick, but it's not as heavy as MAC, so it's perfect for brown lipstick beginners who want to dip their toes in without committing too much. Transfer: I'll be honest, it does transfer a bit. But compared to other lipsticks, it's actually on the better side. Once you blot with a tissue, it gets even better! The staying power increases and the transfer decreases. Case: Oh my goodness, I can't believe I hesitated when this first came out. The case is so luxurious that I actually thought it was a department store exclusive. Out of all Espoir's lip products, this design is absolutely my favorite. What? You're disappointed? What do you mean? What does disappointed even mean? Easy? Just buy it and wear it already.

While it's called a brown lipstick, it's not overly dark or heavy—it applies with barely any feeling of weight, giving you that perfect my-lips-but-better brown shade. This Espoir Matte lipstick in Grey completely won me over with its stunning color, and I ended up purchasing it without hesitation. The brown is beautifully grayish with just a hint of cocoa undertone, yet it's neither muddy nor too deep. If you're like me and have never considered brown lipstick before, this is genuinely worth trying if you want to ease into wearing brown lip color without any intimidation factor. You can layer it multiple times without any clumping, and since the color doesn't build up too intensely, it's perfect for creating that effortless autumn vibe in your everyday look. The scent is wonderfully subtle—it smells like chocolate cookies, but it's so delicate that you won't notice it unless you bring it right up to your nose. Because it's a velvet lipstick, the application is incredibly smooth and hydrating rather than matte or dry, which means it doesn't have that strong adhesive grip you might expect. While it does have some staying power, if you're hoping for that instant, clingy hold that traditional matte lipsticks give, you might be disappointed. Here's something interesting: when I swatched it on my hand or forearm, the color payoff looked pretty decent, but once I applied it to my lips, it appeared much more subtle and delicate. I do prefer applying it lightly, but even when I layer it two or three times, it doesn't deliver the bold color intensity you see in promotional photos. While it's comfortable to wear without feeling heavy, if you're specifically looking for a striking plum or brown that really pops and stands out, this might not give you the dramatic effect you're hoping for—so keep that in mind. Additionally, since this isn't a tinted formula like a stain, the longevity isn't particularly impressive. After eating, most of the color fades away, so if you're expecting strong color payoff and long-lasting wear, this might not be the best choice for you. If you layer this as a base and then apply Black Rose Cream Matte in Lonely Anemone on top, you'll get a gorgeous brown lip look. The hydrating brown matte formula paired with the rich cream matte texture of the anemone shade work beautifully together for layering without any pilling. While results can vary depending on your individual lip texture, when I layered these two shades together, the color I achieved was remarkably similar to the brown lip look that actress Ko Yoon-jung wore in the promotional photos for this Grey Matte collection.
ep******Da hỗn hợp18/09/2021 (UTC+0)I really love the case design. The color is nice enough, but it's a bit too safe and understated for what I was hoping for. I was expecting a much darker, deeper shade, but it feels lukewarm and not as dark as I'd hoped. The texture itself has this matte lipstick-like powdery feel, yet it's also slippery, so even when I apply it multiple times, the color doesn't shift dramatically. It seems the brand still isn't taking bold color risks. Brown Mist Gray Revlon 642 Bobbi Brown Desert Rose Revlon 291
