I was drawn to this product because it has a relatively simple ingredient list, features fermented extracts as the main component, contains no harmful ingredients, and lets you skip some steps in your skincare routine like toner or essence. The fermented essence formula worked so well for my skin that I decided to go for it. What really sealed the deal was being able to try the sample first—that made all the difference! The greasiness. The oiliness. The greasiness!!! My skin is combination type with a dry U-zone, especially during seasonal changes. Lately, I've been dealing with sudden breakouts after using products, so my skin feels pretty sensitive right now. Since my previous skincare routine had poor ingredient quality, I wanted to simplify my collection and find something that would calm my skin down. That's why I was excited to try this brand. Because my skin had become sensitive, I tested the sample before committing to the full size. The essence toner is exactly as described—super lightweight and watery with a clean scent that felt nice even on first use after cleansing. But here's the problem: Despite being called an essence, it doesn't deliver on hydration or texture refinement the way I hoped. And honestly, there's way too much oil in it. My skin feels dry underneath while the surface gets slick and greasy, making it uncomfortable to use and hard to layer with other products. What's strange is that when I first apply it, my skin feels relatively smooth, but then the oiliness kicks in really fast. After application, my hands feel so slippery that I have to wash them before moving to the next step. The matching cream has the same issue—it's more oily than hydrating, so that didn't work well for me either. The sample was tiny, but after using it, I got little bumps and had to stop. For me, the oil content was just too high and didn't work with my skin. But if you're going to try it, maybe it would work better if you have dry skin and apply it over a well-hydrated base? I picked up a sample by chance and I'm absolutely loving it! My skin has actually shifted from oily to extremely dry over time, so I was using an oily skin toner and emulsion. But after cleansing, I was dealing with flaking and my skin felt tight and uncomfortable. I searched for a toner and emulsion for very dry skin and decided to try this product. After cleansing, not only did the flaking disappear, but my skin also feels so much more hydrated and dewy! I'm really glad I tested the sample first. I've finished the sample and now I'm using the full-size product regularly. I absolutely love how well it's working for my skin! As time goes on, oil starts coming back to the surface. I think my skin might be transitioning from extremely dry to oily. This product applies beautifully with excellent spreadability, and the absorption is absolutely fantastic. There's really nothing to complain about. This is honestly the best first-step essence I've ever tried! It absorbs beautifully into my skin, and I've noticed such a significant improvement in my complexion since I started using it. My skin tone looks noticeably brighter too! I think it would have been nice if this came in a slightly smaller size option. I layer it three times at night, and my skin stays completely hydrated without needing a separate cream afterward. The way it absorbs deep into the skin is incredible! If you struggle with dehydration or have combination skin, this is absolutely perfect for you. I'm already on my third bottle because it's truly amazing.
