The application is smooth and easy to spread. The absorption is decent too. Though if you have dry skin, you might find it doesn't provide quite enough hydration. I'm not sure if this caused it, but I developed a pretty severe rash on my face and arms. It has such a gorgeous shine and doesn't feel sticky at all. I grabbed it on sale and I'm honestly using it way more than I expected! Did Bedtime go through multiple reformulations? I used the original version ages ago, and I was craving that scent again recently, so I decided to give it another try. But something feels completely different now, honestly. The fragrance used to have this rich, powdery quality with a soft, delicate character, but this version doesn't capture that at all. When I was making and using it during my classes, I could adjust the formula, but now that I'm raising kids and barely sleeping or eating, things have changed. As summer transitions into fall, my skin gets a bit drier, so using just one product isn't enough. That's why I layer it with a richer cream formula, kind of like how you'd use a toner and essence together. I really pay attention to fragrance—whether it's right after cleansing or when I'm applying skincare. I know the scent fades quickly, but I don't think a nice fragrance actually provides hydration, so I don't rely on it for that. I used to avoid body emulsions because I hated that sticky feeling, but this product absorbs so quickly and smells amazing that I can't stop using it. The generous size means I can use it freely without worrying about running out. If you have very dry skin, you might find the moisturizing power a bit lacking.

Overall quite oily. First of all, Johnson's has such an amazing fragrance! The scent is wonderful, and the moisturizing power is fantastic too. Most importantly, I don't get any breakouts, which is fantastic. I've tried the pink version as well, but I personally prefer the purple one. It's genuinely so comforting, and every time I smell it, I feel so relaxed and my mood lifts. Especially after bathing before bed, once I get under the covers, I fall asleep so easily. However, since I have naturally oily skin, if I apply too much, my body feels sticky. When I use the right amount, it's absolutely perfect. In summer it feels a bit heavy, but in fall and winter it's just right. The application is smooth, and the fragrance is absolutely wonderful. No breakouts at all, and I've already repurchased it many times, so I'm using it as my go-to body lotion. There's really nothing to complain about. The only thing is that when you're almost done with the bottle, you have to open the cap and tap it to get the last bit out.
