The downside is that the cleansing power isn't as strong as I'd hoped, and there's a warning about being careful around the eyes—and honestly, it's true! It really does sting and can irritate the skin, which is exactly why it works so well for summer. Since I don't usually wear much makeup, I found it worked just fine for me! As expected, the cleansing power is a bit disappointing. There's a slight warming sensation when you use it, but on days when your skin feels hot, this is the perfect product to cool things down. The cooling effect is pretty intense, so you might find it feels a bit chilly during winter! I mixed a little bit into my shampoo and it felt like a complete cooling shampoo! Even though it's a cleansing product, I loved that I could use it for so many different purposes like body and hair care.

Since I have somewhat sensitive skin, I looked for reviews to see if anyone had issues with it. I didn't find any complaints, so I decided to try it right away. At first, I didn't notice any irritation, which was great! However, whether it's because of the gentle formula or something else, I'm not entirely sure, but when I use just this cleanser alone, my skin feels fine overall. That said, I found it difficult to completely remove eye makeup, especially mascara and eyeliner. The instructions say to gently roll it across your skin while avoiding the eye area, then rinse with lukewarm water. When I used it, I have to say it felt really refreshing and invigorating. On hot summer days especially, there's something wonderful about that cool, clean feeling you get after washing your face! However, I'd definitely recommend avoiding the eye area to be safe, since getting this in your eyes wouldn't be pleasant. I found that if I first remove my eye makeup with a cleansing tissue or use a cleansing oil for an initial cleanse before using this cleanser, I get a much more satisfying cleanse overall! The texture is a bit lightweight and reminds me of a gentle kitchen soap, which actually works in its favor—it creates such an effortless cleansing feel that I find myself washing more often during hot months. I naturally run warm and my face tends to flush easily, so while the cooling sensation won't eliminate redness, it definitely helps me feel more comfortable. I'm really happy with how it performs. My skin does feel a bit tight after cleansing, so I need to follow up with a hydrating mist right away. I keep one in the bathroom and spritz it on immediately after washing. I'd love to see this same formula in a body wash version too.
