The more you layer this color, the more beautifully blended and gradient-like it becomes. The staying power is seriously impressive and lasts forever. I didn't experience any irritation or sensitivity issues. My skin felt comfortable without any dryness. For deep cool tones in winter, I haven't found anything quite like this. Lip products are everywhere these days, but I keep coming back to Lil'Bare No. 5. My skin is on the lighter side, and cool muted shades really suit me. The color payoff matches exactly what's shown in the swatches. As for the texture, if you prefer something glossy, this might not be your match. I always apply lip balm before my tint, so I'm not a fan of glossy finishes anyway, which actually made this perfect for me. I'd definitely recommend this if you're looking for a muted, clean-feeling lip product. The downside is the staying power. I do have a habit of picking at my lips, but even accounting for that, the color doesn't set as well as a liquid tint would, and it fades pretty quickly. I have to reapply it after eating anything. This is the gentlest matte lip I've tried when it comes to flaking. The color works beautifully whether you prefer warm or cool undertones—just apply it sheer and it suits everyone. I love that you only need a tiny bit to get great color payoff. The application can be a bit tricky to control. This is a burnt orange-red shade with really vibrant color saturation. True to its name, it glides onto your lips like velvet, making it super easy to create beautiful gradient looks. The color payoff is fantastic, and it's such a versatile everyday essential that works beautifully for deep undertones and warm skin tones. I picked the wrong shade because it leans cool-toned for me. The actual color looks completely different from the official website photos. If there's any moisture on your lips, the formula can shift around, so you really need to blot well with a tissue before applying.

The warm tone gives off a beautiful plum-tinged pink-red that looks flattering on its own, like you've just dipped your lips in color. I know this warm shade isn't technically my undertone, but I couldn't resist the plum tones. It's such a vibrant and pretty color that it actually works for me. I originally bought it thinking of the Skinfood plum series, so I was a bit disappointed at first. Formula. I love the soft, velvety texture - it's not overly matte, which is perfect. Color. This shade works beautifully as a lip stain on its own or as a layering shade for a gradient effect, making it super convenient to carry around. Design. The angular design is different from other tints and I actually ended up really liking it, though after about three months of use, the edges started to wear smooth and show some discoloration, which made it look a bit messy. Color payoff. The color payoff isn't incredibly intense, but it definitely delivers enough pigment. Dry patches. As long as my lips aren't in really rough condition, the formula doesn't emphasize dry patches. Repurchase. I'd definitely repurchase this - especially if there's a discount! Longevity. The wear time is decent but nothing exceptional - it holds up okay throughout the day. However, it completely washes off the moment I eat anything. Design.
