I'm on my third bottle and I really love how it helps reduce blackheads when I use it to cleanse. The lather is so soft and creamy. After washing, my skin feels beautifully hydrated and I'm really happy with that. When my skin is extra oily, I need to spend more time massaging it in, so I find it works better as a second cleanse in the evening rather than in the morning when oil tends to build up. I thought the mild acidic formula wouldn't create much lather, but I was pleasantly surprised. It actually produces a nice amount of foam, and I love how creamy and smooth it feels on my skin. The cleansing power is definitely there, but sometimes I feel like using a more intensive foaming cleanser would give me an even deeper clean.

Somewhere along the way, whether it was the formula or texture, the product went through a reformulation. The original version had such a stiff, difficult-to-dispense texture from the tube, but now it's incredibly smooth and creamy. The scent has also become much more pleasant compared to the early version. The original formula had a really strong herbal fragrance with minty notes. The hydration felt deeper back then. (I once ran out of body wash at the sauna and used this as a substitute, and I remember it left a noticeably slicker, more moisturizing finish.) It's a weakly acidic, gentle cleanser that feels like a timeless staple, just like other cult favorites. It's a weakly acidic product with no irritation and solid cleansing power, with a moisturizing finish that isn't overdone. Whether morning or night, it works beautifully for any routine. The scent is a subtle herbal fragrance, so nothing to complain about. Since this is such a beloved staple, I really hope it stays in production for many years to come.
