It really seems to help with brightening, and the texture is so hydrating. I haven't experienced any breakouts or irritation. The scent is absolutely terrible - it's such a strong, unpleasant smell that it actually gives me a headache. It does have a slightly powdery texture when applying, but that's not really a deal-breaker. I applied this over a peptide essence first.
