After using this for about a year, I'm really happy with it as someone with cool undertones. The highlighter has a subtle matte finish with just a hint of pink, which I love. I'm on my second one now, and honestly, the contour shade is super versatile but it's a bit small. I have to touch up the highlighter throughout the day while I'm out. My nose gets oily, so I dust it with powder and reapply. For the under-eye area, I just do it once at night and it looks flawless all day. To sum it up, the longevity really depends on your skin type, but mine is dry with just a tiny bit of oil on my nose. Either way, keep that in mind when you're deciding. The staying power isn't amazing, but it looks good for about 3 to 4 hours. When you're touching up your makeup, use a powder like a foundation powder that matches your skin tone for blending. Make sure you use a finely-milled powder for touch-ups. Otherwise, the product gets stuck to your powder puff and ends up messing up your makeup even more.

But this one has such a natural color payoff that I loved it. Even when I applied it with my fingers, it didn't clump and looked great! Color Selection The eyeshadow shade is the perfect cool-toned gray-brown blend that works beautifully for cool undertones. Whether I mix the two shades together or use them separately, the versatility is fantastic. The highlighter looks like a soft pink at first glance, but when you actually apply it to your skin, it gives off a luminous white glow rather than pink! You can use it to control shine, or apply it to your cheekbones or forehead for added dimension. Portability Since the highlighter and eyeshadow come together in one compact, it's perfect for on-the-go touch-ups. It fits right in the palm of your hand and slides easily into a small clutch. Best For I'd especially recommend this for cool undertones, but I think warm undertones could work with it too! The highlighter powder doesn't show up as much as I expected! I absolutely love this! When I use it for contouring my nose, it makes my nose look so beautifully defined. This matte highlighter is seriously amazing - when I apply it as a highlighter, my nose looks incredibly sculpted and dimensional. There's really nothing major to complain about. If I had to nitpick, I'd say the amount of product is a bit small for the price, but that's about it.

I have high brightness with low saturation, so I'm drawn to bright, clean colors with just a hint of gray mixed in. My complexion has a lot of redness, so I naturally gravitate toward pink-based products. 1. I had put away a taupe gray because it was too dark, but when a cool gray shade came out, I grabbed it right away. I've been using it for about three months now. 2. I've bought so many contour shades over the years, and I'm honestly not sure if this has finally become my go-to or if I've just accepted that I'll keep searching. Either way, I'm using this one well! Though I have my eye on Pias shade 11 Pistachio for when I'm ready to splurge. Ha! 3. For nose contouring, this ash brown shade works for me even though it's a bit deeper in tone. I can control the intensity with my brush technique, so I'm satisfied with the color saturation. 4. My favorite part is the jawline contouring. When I blend the natural and deep shades together for jawline definition, it looks so seamless and natural—it's amazing! I used to struggle with contour colors that were too yellow and harsh, but this one, while deep, has a tone that doesn't look odd. With good brush control, proper blending, and a finishing powder to create that blur effect, the result is absolutely beautiful. (I'm using brush 16 and I love it!) 5. The pink powder is... well, it's a bit off for my complexion. I have a light, whitish grain with lots of redness—a cool summer tone in shades 13-15. 1) When I use it where highlight should go, like under the eyes or on the bridge of the nose, it's not that pink doesn't suit me, but this particular shade is such a loud, screaming pink that it stands out too much. I suspect it might also be darker than my skin tone. I wonder if people with deeper skin tones would have better luck with it? 2) It's also a formula issue—the powder particles are too thick. No matter which quality brush I use, it applies heavily and shows pores. The blurring effect isn't great. It works fine for eyebrow prep or filling in smile lines, but since I already have plenty of powders for those uses, I need to figure out what else to do with this one. 6. That said, this new cool gray Bold Shade from Novebrow is exactly what I love about Novebrow products—I'm so happy with it! Now I can finally move away from awkward nose and jawline contouring and create natural shadow definition instead. Ha! 1) The jawline contouring section is a bit small. But I understand it's a necessary compromise for keeping the palette compact, so I accept it. 2) The pink shade in the highlighting powder is way too intense, and the particles are too coarse. I'd really appreciate it if they'd refine the color and formula in the next renewal. Honestly, a wet formula or one with glitter would be even better. Quick tip on contour brushes: If you're just starting out, I'd suggest buying an affordable one first to figure out what type works for you, then invest in a quality one. The shading colors are fantastic too - they have this gorgeous warm gray undertone with great saturation and depth, making them incredibly versatile for any look! The compact size is convenient to carry around, but it can be a bit tricky to use for contouring the jawline.
