The applicator is cut at an angle and has plenty of soft fibers that help spread the formula smoothly and evenly. Fragrance The scent reminds me of motion sickness medicine, which I'm personally not a fan of. Texture and Color Payoff The formula is cloud-like and incredibly fluffy with a powdery finish. It applies with a full-bodied feel while blurring beautifully, making gradient effects super easy to create. The color payoff is excellent, true to Peripera's velvet tint reputation. The watercolor effect with a soft-focus filter vibe really appeals to me. Longevity and Staining While it transfers easily, the color pigments settle nicely into lip lines, giving it better staying power than expected. However, it doesn't leave much staining. Color This everyday pink shade works beautifully for cool undertones and is versatile enough for daily wear. It's such a neutral, wearable color that you can apply it without any hesitation. I've noticed that Peripera Ink the Airy Velvet is quite different from Ink the Velvet. Personally, I think the Ink the Velvet line is better. There's this subtle glossy finish that I really like. When you apply it to your lips, it gives you this cool, sophisticated color payoff that I'd definitely recommend for cool undertones. The scent reminds me of tea, maybe? I'm not entirely sure what it is exactly, but I noticed the same fragrance in their Peppermint Cherry shade too. The texture feels a bit disappointing to me. It doesn't adhere to the lips as smoothly as I'd hoped. Maybe I picked the wrong shade, but I'm just not reaching for this one very often. I absolutely recommend this to anyone with cool undertones! The color payoff is fantastic, and the formula has such a beautiful blurred, soft-focus finish! The shade is absolutely gorgeous, and I'd definitely suggest it to anyone with deep pink undertones too. It won't completely blur away all your lip lines, just so you know. It applies so smoothly. The product amount is generous. It's compact and easy to carry around, which is nice. I'd really recommend this to anyone with cool undertones. Personally, I'm pretty picky about tone and saturation, and this product just doesn't work for me no matter what I try. The fragrance is way too strong. The silky texture is hard to get used to. Between the scent and the formula, I find myself hesitant to apply it. The color payoff is weak.

When I swatch it on my hand, it looks a bit warm-toned, but once I apply it to my lips, it's clearly a cool pink! I think this would be absolutely gorgeous on anyone with fair or light undertones! The velvet formula really emphasizes dry patches and flakiness. The color takes forever to set and doesn't apply evenly, which is so frustrating. Plus, the scent is honestly terrible - it has that headache-inducing fragrance that cosmetics sometimes have. Even though it's supposed to be a velvet formula, the color payoff is almost nonexistent, so the staying power is pretty disappointing.
