The lighting is different in all three photos, so I can't really compare skin tone, but please focus on the pores! The first photo was taken in early July this year when I was using a different product. Back then, I had basically given up on my pores, but the skin tone improvement from this product was so impressive that I decided to repurchase it even though it's pricey. The second photo is from early August after I started using this product. And the third photo is from now, late September, after I've finished one full-size bottle and I'm currently using the complimentary smaller size. During this time, I didn't change my toner, emulsion, or cream, and I only switched my serum while adding toner pads to my routine. To be honest, I wasn't consistent with the toner pads, and I only applied this product at night while using a hydrating serum in the morning. Even with just this one change, I noticed a significant improvement in my T-zone pores! When I first tried this product before, I was satisfied with the skin tone improvement rather than pore refinement, but after continued use, the results seemed to plateau, so I stopped. This summer, my skin got quite damaged from sun exposure, so I decided to try it again, and this time my pores have noticeably improved. As for skin tone, it brightened nicely at first, but then I stopped noticing a difference, so it seems there's a limit to how much it can improve. If I apply too much or layer it too heavily, it sometimes pills and flakes off like dead skin, so I can't bring myself to use a generous amount. Since this contains retinol, I only apply it at night, and to avoid pilling while keeping my skin hydrated, I use just a light layer and then avoid touching my face afterward.

I heard the formula was completely revamped with a much higher concentration of active ingredients, but honestly, the original version works so much better for my skin than the new reformulated one. As I mentioned before, I'm personally a bit disappointed that they reformulated the product. That said, if you're someone who wants more powerful results and doesn't mind a stronger concentration, the new version could actually be a good fit for you.
