The fishy taste is barely noticeable, and it goes down smoothly. When I take it together with lutein, my eyes feel less dry - I really noticed the difference! The EPA and DHA content is a bit lower than I'd prefer, so I switched to a formula with over 900mg. That said, if you're not specifically looking for memory-boosting benefits or other advanced effects, this dosage is perfectly adequate for your needs.
