This moisturizer applies and absorbs beautifully with an ideal pH balance. While it's not an overly rich formula, it's a dependable moisturizer that truly protects your skin barrier. No sensitivity concerns whatsoever. During winter months especially, you might find that it doesn't hydrate quite as effectively as you'd hope. If your skin tends to be very dry, this alone may not be enough, so you'll want to layer an occlusive on top. Apply this moisturizer to your skin after using toner and serum. During the dry winter months, I used just the cream without an emulsion and was able to use it without any tightness or dryness. I didn't experience any breakouts, so it's gentle enough for regular use. Those with oily skin might find it a bit heavy, but I think it would be satisfying for combination to dry skin types. It's not heavy or cooling at all - instead, it glides right in and really tackles dryness. That's the main thing I noticed. As someone with dry skin, I applied toner and hydrating ampoule first, then just this cream, and I didn't experience any dryness afterward. Plus, compared to jar moisturizers, the pump bottle is so much more hygienic! The only thing is that one pump dispenses quite a bit of product, so you'll need to be mindful about how much you use. The fragrance didn't work for me, unfortunately. It has a pretty strong artificial scent that I couldn't get past. I really love the scent too—it's fresh and wonderful! There's something European about it, you know? Even though it's winter, the hydration is seriously amazing. Looking at before and after photos, I can see that the redness and new breakouts on my face have definitely reduced! The scent lingers longer and more subtly than I thought, so if this fragrance isn't your thing, it might feel a bit strong and bothersome since it's quite noticeable. After applying the hydrating cream and finishing with this all over, it feels incredibly soft and powdery while still being moisturizing!
