I use this essence emulsion every single day and absolutely love it. Even during winter, it provides plenty of hydration, and the best part is how calm and comfortable my skin feels afterward. I wish it had a bit more nourishment. The areas around my mouth and nose tend to be dry, so those spots feel a little parched with this product alone. It applies so smoothly and effortlessly! I wake up the next morning and my skin feels noticeably more hydrated and refreshed. After applying it, my skin started to feel prickly and uncomfortable within a few minutes. I've been using this moisturizing cream since middle school and I'm still loyal to it now as a college student! I did switch to a different brand for about a year, but when I saw it being purchased by a celebrity at a major department store, I came right back to it....! When I used this in my twenties, my skin felt absolutely radiant and luminous. My complexion looked so porcelain and flawless. Now that I'm in my thirties, I tried it again and I'm breaking out with bumps all over my face. Something just doesn't feel right anymore. As I'm getting older, my skin's dryness has been getting worse, so I decided to invest in a better product. I've used about five products from this line and switched completely to Cica, and honestly, people have been complimenting my skin. I'm not entirely sure why, but it's working. First off, the hydration is really solid. It applies smoothly and creates this nice protective layer on my skin. My face gets super dry super fast if I even miss the timing after washing, but I'm genuinely happy with this. I also tried a rose moisturizing cream in between, and this one definitely has better moisture retention for me. If this can just keep my skin from feeling parched, I'm totally willing to keep using it. I looked at the ingredients just now and honestly, I'm pretty disappointed. For anyone with sensitive or troubled skin who says their skin always feels tight no matter what they try, is there a cream you'd actually recommend? I'm really frustrated. To be honest, I usually use quite a bit when I'm rubbing it in, but lately I've been gently patting it on instead, and it feels even more hydrated. My skin is extremely dry, but this product delivers amazing hydration without any greasy feeling. I love how the moisture stays locked in throughout the entire day. The cream has such a lovely scent that I find myself wanting to apply it again and again. The scent has a lovely herbal quality, and the texture absorbs beautifully without sitting on top of the skin—it really sinks in seamlessly. Even after it absorbs, the hydration lasts for such a long time. I'm talking 48 hours of staying dewy. (I've been nursing, so there have been days I haven't washed my face in two days, haha.) Plus, it works great under makeup too. Since it's not an oil-heavy moisturizer type, it feels really fresh and lightweight on the skin. The price is definitely the catch here. I have acne-prone skin, so I'm really careful about what products I use, and thankfully this didn't trigger any breakouts. But honestly, paying this much for a hydrating moisturizer feels pretty steep. Don't get me wrong—it's good—but I think I need to find a more affordable hydrating moisturizer option. A little goes a long way with this one—the hydration is seriously impressive even with a small amount. I apply the essence emulsion first and then finish with this hydrating moisturizer. I personally tend to get milia under my eyes, so I don't use a separate eye cream. Instead, I just apply this hydrating moisturizer extra carefully around the eye area for that extra boost of moisture.
