The pump dispenser makes it so convenient to apply. The formula starts out smooth and hydrating, then as it dries, it becomes slightly tacky before fully absorbing into the skin, leaving it feeling soft and supple. I really appreciate that it doesn't have a strong fragrance, so you can use it without any worry. Sometimes when it dries, it leaves white, flaky patches on the skin like dried sweat. I've been using this since early March, and here's my honest review after about three months of use! (Written in June) - The best part is that my skin didn't react negatively at all, and I really loved how the lightweight formula absorbs beautifully into my skin! - If niacinamide has always worked wonderfully for your complexion, I'd definitely recommend giving this a try! What disappointed me most was that I didn't really see the specific benefits that niacinamide is known for delivering. That was the biggest letdown for me. When I applied it to my skin during times when my skin barrier was compromised, it felt like I was just using a regular essence without any noticeable improvement. However, when my skin barrier was in better condition, the product seemed to work better and left my skin feeling plump and bouncy. One thing I noticed is that if I wait a moment after applying this product before moving on to my next step, my skin gets this blurred, almost airbrushed texture. 1. Texture First off, it's not too thin at all. This is a high-concentration niacinamide serum with 21% niacinamide, and I have to say the stickiness is incredibly minimal (not saying it's completely absent). The formula has good substance to it, and since the zinc content isn't overly high, it's perfect for winter. 2. You can see the effort to balance oil control and barrier support at the same time My skin does need oil control, but if I strip away too much oil in winter, my skin gets dry. That's why I was looking for another niacinamide serum when I found this one. The zinc ingredient isn't excessive, and at the same time, they've added various amino acids to address both oil regulation and barrier strengthening—the two main benefits niacinamide can deliver. Since combination and oily skin tends to have a weakened barrier in winter, this serum is absolutely worth recommending for the colder months. 1. Dosage control is tricky The pump works really well. The container is durable and high quality, which is actually a plus, but here's the catch—the pump works so well that it dispenses a generous amount with one full press. This has one of the highest niacinamide concentrations I've found, and even with that potent formula, it doesn't irritate my skin at all—it feels incredibly gentle and soothing. I'm absolutely loving it! I wish the bottle contained more product. It would also be amazing if they offered a dropper dispenser version. When I apply a generous amount, it works wonderfully. I've been struggling with vertical pores, so when I got the chance to try this pore serum, I jumped right on it. I looked into niacinamide and found out it does so much—brightening, smoothing fine lines, minimizing pores, controlling oil. It really seems to do it all! The box mentioned the serum has a high concentration of 21% niacinamide and could potentially cause irritation, so I patch tested it on the inside of my wrist first. I was worried about itching or stinging, but I didn't experience any of that. Even when I applied it to the sensitive, reddened area under my nose that gets irritated easily, it was totally fine. I'm thinking it must have passed the sensitivity test with flying colors. I'm really hoping this high-concentration formula works its magic quickly. The texture is a lightweight serum with just a hint of viscosity—almost like clear nasal fluid—and it's practically fragrance-free, which I appreciate. For the price, the 30ml bottle feels pretty small. I think I'll go through it all within a month.
