This absorbs so quickly... it feels like water on your skin...? If this ingredient works for your skin type, you're going to absolutely love it.. Plus, you get a generous amount for the price.... This is honestly so strange... my face turned red the moment I applied it.. I started itching all over the place, so I had to wash it off right away... I'm serious about this.. I got it on sale for a great price. I love how it has a soothing effect when I apply it before bed. Nothing really stands out as a downside. The texture is a bit lightweight, but that actually works well since I can just apply it with a cotton pad and leave it on.

The bottle size is generous for the price, and it has a lovely subtle scent that reminds me of acacia flowers, so there's no unpleasant smell at all. I have oily and sensitive skin, so I was worried before using it, but the hydration and soothing effects are amazing. I would absolutely repurchase this product without hesitation. Since this formula contains a significant amount of houttuynia cordata extract, those who are sensitive to this ingredient should probably avoid it. The hydration was excellent, and the scent was subtle and pleasant. The essence flowed smoothly like water and absorbed quickly into the skin, though I found that a bit surprising. The essence absorbed well when applied, but it tends to drip quite a bit during dispensing. While the brand mentions this is due to the formula's nature, I felt like more of the product was running down my neck than actually penetrating my face, which was a bit disappointing. Try saturating a cotton pad with the essence and placing it on areas of your face that need calming—you'll notice the soothing effect right away. It's perfect for these dry winter months when you want a quick, easy treatment that works like a mini sheet mask.
