It's a perfect matte lip for fall and winter. The way it adheres to your lips with a satisfying grip when you apply it is just fantastic. The color is a truly vibrant red. When you do a full lip, it's a bold red, but if you go for a gradient look, it gives more of a clear, bright red vibe. The shade seems versatile enough to suit both warm and cool skin tones. It doesn't seem to be a product that stains the lips. The color comes off immediately when you wipe it. On my lips, there was absolutely no staining effect at all. Just dab it on lightly and you've got that perfect no-makeup makeup look.

Before I dive into the pros and cons, let me give you some context. My skin tone is between deep and light undertone. Now, onto the good stuff! The velvet texture is rich and matte, but it feels soft and powdery when applied. Thanks to the hyaluronic acid, it leaves a moisturized feeling, so even though it's a matte lip product, it doesn't emphasize dead skin cells. I thought it might feel heavy because of its rich texture, but it's surprisingly lightweight and adheres beautifully to the lips. As someone who dislikes artificial scents in lip products, I find the subtle strawberry scent quite pleasant! On the downside, the staying power is a bit disappointing. While it's great that it doesn't stain easily, this also means it doesn't last very long, so you'll need to reapply frequently. Because it doesn't stain, it tends to transfer quite a bit. As someone who pays attention to ingredients, I was a bit disappointed to see some less-than-ideal components in the formula. Reminds me of those liquid correction tapes we used to shake and squeeze as kids (wonder if you remember those?). The gold accent on the cap is a nice touch though. Personally, I think the Estée Lauder logo on the cap is the prettiest part. Texture: I was surprised by the texture! It feels incredibly lightweight, as if you're not wearing anything at all. It's airy but doesn't dry out your lips to the point of causing dead skin cells. It's not heavy and adheres well to the lips. Color: When I first applied it, I thought I might have received the wrong shade! But as I layered it on, a lovely coral-red hue emerged. It's a bit different from the color shown online. It's not a bright, in-your-face red, but rather a muted, autumnal shade. The subdued tone would look beautiful in fall and winter. With its coral undertones, it should suit warm complexions well. It's a color that's not too overwhelming for daily wear. It looks pretty whether applied lightly or as a full lip. Applicator: The angled brush allows you to use it as a lip liner too. It's easy to apply a full lip, and you can easily control the amount of product for a thin layer or full coverage. The cap seems secure, so it shouldn't leak. My old YSL Water Stain used to leak, which was disappointing... Transfer: My previous Peripera tint had strong staining power but left a lot of color and residue on my tumbler, requiring frequent cleaning. The Estée Lauder Pure Color Envy Liquid Lip Color doesn't transfer to tumblers at all. After applying, blotting a few times with a tissue, and letting it dry, it barely transfers to masks either. Longevity: It claims to have 12-hour staying power due to its flexible polymer... but it comes off when eating. Maybe it could last 12 hours if you don't eat! The Peripera tint leaves color even after eating, as it has very strong staining power. However, the Estée Lauder tint has almost no staining effect. After application, blot with a tissue a few times and let it dry to minimize transfer. You can use the tip of the applicator to line your lips and then fill them in. On the back of your hand, it looks almost like a pure red, but when applied to the lips, it gives the impression of a red with a drop of orange mixed in. The vibrant color makes your face look radiant, as if someone turned on a spotlight! Unless you have an extremely cool complexion that clashes with even the slightest hint of orange, this seems to be a versatile shade that would suit most people. Texture: The mousse-like formula allows for a blurred, soft-focus effect on the lips without emphasizing fine lines. It's great for creating beautiful gradients too! This type doesn't really stain the lips. Longevity: Since it's not a lacquer-type product that strongly adheres to the lips, and it has minimal staining power, the staying power isn't particularly long-lasting. With a straight cap and curved body, it doesn't look boring from the outside. The brand name is even engraved in gold on the cap, adding a touch of luxury. The color isn't too vibrant, but has a slight coral hue. It's a shade that works for both cool and warm tones, so it's not too picky about skin tone. The applicator does its job well. It's easy to control the amount, so you can apply just a touch for a healthy flush or go for a full lip without it feeling overwhelming. Once applied, the formula glides on very smoothly. If you make a mistake while applying, you can easily wipe it off and reapply. It feels slightly matte, but when you press your lips together, there's no sense of dryness. I'd describe it as a product that applies smoothly but has a matte finish on the surface. I think this would have been my go-to product for fall and winter if we lived in a mask-free world. While it's mostly good, the biggest drawback is its staining power. Although I described it as matte, it doesn't completely avoid transferring to masks. Especially right after application, if you drink from a cup, you'll feel like the color has transferred from your lips to the cup. The staining power isn't that great. When I used long-lasting tints, they wouldn't transfer to my mask even after hours of talking, but this one not only transfers to the mask but also bleeds beyond the lip line, giving that 'just ate' look. The ingredients aren't particularly great, but that's true for most lip products, so I'm not too concerned about it. Sometimes it can cause dead skin cells to appear, so you might need to exfoliate your lips before using this product. While the product can stand upright when capped, it feels a bit risky. It's probably safer to store it lying down to prevent any leakage. The versatile applicator makes it easy to control the amount. That's why I use it not only on my lips but also as a light blush with great results.

I have a deep undertone, so bright colors don't usually suit me well, but this one works great without any white cast. It would be perfect for those with a similar personal color to mine! The color payoff is excellent even with a small amount. The 9ml volume should last a long time. You can build up the color gradually for a more intense look, making it versatile for anyone to use. I love that you can create your desired style by adjusting the intensity. The applicator has ultra-fine bristles with a slightly curved tip, making it easy to control the amount and spread the product evenly. The soft brush also contributes to its excellent adherence. The matte finish feels like it's 'dry on the outside, moist on the inside,' which prevents flaking. An added bonus is the sun protection feature. Pros: 1. Apply up to three coats for extended wear time! • (Use as a blush) Dab the applicator tip three times on each cheek and blend thinly with your fingers for rosy apple cheeks. As someone with a skin tone between warm and cool, I found this red tint to be universally flattering. Even with my extremely dry skin, I could apply it without lip balm and not feel like my lips would crack. The color is truly beautiful. Unlike other velvet/air tints, the staining effect is practically non-existent. It wipes off easily with a wet wipe, and when drinking water, it fades from the center, leaving an odd appearance. While it's relatively hydrating, due to its formula, it can't completely avoid emphasizing dead skin cells. It's just a matter of whether you're dealing with dry, flaky dead skin cells or moisturized ones. For best results, apply lip balm before makeup, then wipe it off just before applying the tint. When applied fully, it's just like the lip color of dancer Lee Jung from Street Woman Fighter. Even when applied as a gradient, it gives that same shade but slightly lighter. It worked well for me despite my darker, yellowish skin tone! The application feels like a moisturizing mousse tint, but with a velvety touch. It's not the 'I am a velvet tint!' kind of feel. It's very hydrating and not drying at all, so it glides on smoothly! The packaging is also luxurious and beautiful. It tends to apply a bit patchy. Using a base lip product helps somewhat, but with masks being a necessity these days, I noticed it transfers quite a bit. Interestingly, even without a base lip product, it still transfers onto the mask. I guess that's because it's a hydrating formula. While I can overlook the transfer and longevity issues because the color is so pretty, the patchy application is a bit disappointing.

While I'm not an expert on lip colors, I usually go for vibrant reds and avoid pinks. However, this shade is a perfect blend that's just right for the season. Thankfully, it suits me well! 2. It lasts so long! Normally, when I eat while wearing tint or lipstick, it disappears by the end of the meal. But this product maintains its shape! Plus, as time passes, it doesn't just fade from the inner lips, so you won't end up with that awkward outline. 3. It dries quickly! I used to apply it right before going out and put on my mask, which would cause most of it to rub off. But since it dries so fast, there's much less transfer! Quick-drying = dry, unfortunately. As someone who uses lip balm year-round, I might be more sensitive to this, but it dries faster than other tints or lipsticks, leading to easy dehydration. While individual experiences may vary, for someone with very dry lips like me, this was a bit disappointing. I found that applying lip balm before makeup and then putting on this lip product helps it last longer and keeps my lips moisturized!
