At first, the strong scent was a bit off-putting, but I've grown to love it with use. Unlike rosehip oil that can feel oxidized over time, Burt's Bees Repair Serum maintains its lovely rosemary fragrance, lifting my mood every time I use it. I keep it in the bathroom and apply it like a body oil after showering, following my toner. The lingering scent is so nice that even my husband compliments how good I smell! While it's called a repair serum, it feels more like an oil. It's composed of various oils and doesn't have a lightweight feel. The volume is disappointingly small. I'm a bit nervous using it in the bathroom as it could easily slip and break. I was let down to see fragrance high up in the ingredient list. The bottle lists even more oils than Hwahae's analysis shows - lavender oil, hazelnut oil, neroli oil, rose oil, calendula, and more... This information might need updating. I snagged this at a great price from duty-free. I forgot about it for a while and started using it late, close to its expiration. Now I'm using it liberally like a body oil. The scent is so lovely, it's like aromatherapy. I'm 100% going to repurchase this! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedNov 29, 2018
Great for dry skin! The scent isn't overpowering, making it an excellent product for winter use. If you apply too much, it can be a bit uncomfortable if the oil gets into your eyes. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAug 29, 2017
I bought this for that dewy makeup look, and wow, the scent is amazing! The texture is just like an oil. When applied before makeup, it doesn't cause pilling and gives you that perfect 'water glow' - like an inner radiance! It makes your skin look fantastic without feeling too greasy. A little goes a long way, so even though I thought the size was small at first, it's lasted quite a while. It's absolutely fantastic for smoothing out dead skin cells. I used to only use this and Avène mist as my makeup base. One day, after popping some blemishes and blackheads, my skin got really red and irritated. Usually, this leads to a lot of flaking during the healing process, making makeup impossible for days. But I immediately applied a bit of tea tree oil, and then slathered this on generously before bed to prevent dryness and flaking. When I woke up, not only was my skin soothed, but the blemishes had also subsided! I've been a devoted fan ever since. It's just so good, I can't even find the words to describe it properly! The bottle opening is like a regular bottle, so you might accidentally spill it if you're not careful... If you're worried about dead skin cells around your nose or chin before applying makeup, just dab a bit of this on and let it absorb - it works wonders! - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinFeb 7, 2017
As someone with oily skin, I found this product not too greasy and quite nice. It absorbs well without feeling heavy. The quantity is a bit small for the price. If it weren't for that, I'd say it's pretty good. Despite the small amount, the quality seems to justify the cost for those looking for an effective product for oily skin types. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinOct 18, 2016
This is truly amazing!! My cheeks are sensitive and my T-zone isn't dry, so balancing oil and moisture was challenging... But since using this, all my tiny blemishes have disappeared and I'm really impressed. I also love that the scent isn't artificial. The price is quite high, so I have to use it sparingly... Also, there aren't many Burt's Bees stores around these days, which is inconvenient. The alternative is ordering from overseas, but that takes far too long. I used to struggle with redness, but... when I put a few drops of this serum in my hands and gently press it onto my cheeks, it calms down immediately. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinSep 20, 2016
Absorbs well - Despite being an oil-type, it doesn't sit on the surface Skin - Likely beneficial for dry skin After application - Easily absorbs and leaves skin feeling hydrated An oil-type serum suitable for dehydrated or dry skin Would repurchase Room for improvement: The glass container poses a risk of breaking and potential leakage It's cheaper in Hawaii, so stock up when you travel there! - jw******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinJun 6, 2016
I tried it both on its own and mixed with cream, and I was amazed that it didn't cause any small blemishes! Even with just one drop, it keeps my skin hydrated for an incredibly long time. I understand the scent is meant to be organic and herbal, but personally, I'm not a fan. What's worse, the smell doesn't fade quickly... Also, the bottle opening is just a single hole, so if you tilt it wrong, it comes gushing out! - Hwahae UserDry SkinMay 11, 2016
It's perfect when mixed with an emulsion - just a drop or two. For an oil, it absorbs well. It's particularly suitable for dry skin types. The scent is a bit strong at first, but you get used to it over time. The bottle design makes it difficult to control the amount - if you shake it even slightly too hard, the oil runs down the sides. It's more focused on being a basic oil rather than living up to its 'repair' claim. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinFeb 13, 2016
I absolutely love it! I apply a generous amount before bed, and after a short while, it absorbs right into my skin. When I wake up in the morning, my complexion looks bright and radiant. Personally, I think the fragrance might be quite polarizing - people will either love it or hate it. I've heard that massaging it into your face can improve blood circulation, so I occasionally apply it and give myself a little facial massage. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJan 23, 2016
Despite containing various herbal oils, this serum absorbs well without feeling overly greasy. It's non-irritating and leaves the skin feeling hydrated. The price is quite high considering the amount you get. Apart from the cost, there's not much else to complain about. You can use it like a skin pack for an extra boost of hydration.
